Confessions

–You guys, this morning I ran for the longest amount of time straight since I was….maybe 18? 19? It wasn’t long by any means, and nothing to brag about by fitness people standards, but hot damn I feel good! Maybe I self high fived myself when I was done. By maybe I mean damn skippy. #selfhighfive #barneystinsonstyle

–Mac took a sip of my water the other day. I just ignored the fact that I saw it and continued to drink from the glass. Dog owners, you do this too right? #dogsarepeopletoo

–There is this freaking adorable pig at the GBHS right now. Her name is Pretzel and I really really want her. I showed Chris a picture of her and the other day on the way home he said…You know, if I came home and that pig was here, I wouldn’t be mad. DONT TEMPT ME SIR! That also opens the door for puppies, right? Because I really want to bring them all home when I leave there. I mean, look at her!!! #oinkoink #iamacrazypetperson

I am fairly certain that anything I said before this picture may be forgotten because how can you resist that little piggy snout??

–I am really excited for spring for some odd reason? Usually I am all about the cold weather for as long as possible. I think I just really want to wear flip flops and sandals every day again if we are being honest! #realshoesareoverrated

–Speaking of spring, I am super pasty. I need to get a gradual tanning lotion this weekend, what is your favorite? I am open for recommendations please! And please don’t tell me Jergens. That shit smells like pretzels and I hate it. #pastyisthenewsexy

–I had a great time last night with my #MagicCityBloggers!!! We had our monthly Blogstorm meet up and talked about SEO, link ups and all things blogging. I always feel so refreshed and inspired when I leave there. It makes me feel good about all the hard work we put in to our organization.

I am SOOOOO waiting for flip flop season to start. I guess I need to wait for the snow to melt first 🙂

awwwww pretzel is SO CUTE!! but she wouldn’t be safe in an asian house because dim sum…. KIDDING!!!!! LOLLOLOLOL!!

it’s been wonderfully warm this week as well; today is going to be 8C (or higher!) and it’s sunny and everyone is in such a great mood.

CONGRATS!! every time you run a little more IS a big deal and you should be effing proud, ok?! don’t demean your victories girl!
you know i drink out of my water after the cats do. which is probably grosser, but who knows. (i’m sorry to bring it up, i’m still sad about Olivia. is she doing ok?)
You absolutely need to get a pig. Apparently they are awesome, and they are not messy or gross at all – they adapt to their surroundings, so if you put them in a pig sty they will be dirty, but if you don’t, they won’t. you probably know that, so i’ll shut up now.
girl pasty IS the new sexy. i don’t give a shit about tanning anymore – i look best with a natural tan, but it’s not worth it to get skin cancer, so i don’t lay out. and i hate fake tans because they look so fake and gross on me! pasty forever!

That pig —- omg. One of our family friends has a mini pig and she is just adorable! Also, I ran my farthest I have ran in a long time this week as well! Go us! As for gradual tanning lotion – I have just started using Kardashian Sun Kissed Gradual Sunless Lotion – it is the blue and green bottle. I got it at Ulta for $12.99 and it has been wonderful! I haven’t had any weird streaks and I don’t look orange!

  • Reply Amanda Elizabeth March 11, 2015 at 9:24 am

Awwwwwww that face! I like that Sun tanning lotion. It seriously gives you the most natural color but make sure to wash your hands immediately! I tried to put it on with gloves and it just didn’t work. Amazon prime you can have it by like Friday 😉

  • Reply Marie March 11, 2015 at 9:40 am

That is so awesome that you ran as long as you did. Way to go! Ok, I have been waiting a pig forever. I follow a bunch of them on IG and just love them! They are so stinking cute! No Pun intended.

  • Reply Laura March 11, 2015 at 10:21 am

You need that pig. I’m going to stop talking to you until you go and get him and so I can play with him. #jokes . I feel like these ecards resonate with a different person each week. I mean people not turning out how we thought they were?!?

And hooray for running!! We need to do that color/sparkle run, whatever it is!

  • Reply SMD @ Life According to Steph March 11, 2015 at 10:56 am

Jan Marini for face self tanner, Banana Boat for body. Mixed in with regular lotion (both).

That pig is cute! I heard they’re not cuddly pets though. I’ll take a puppy any day.

  • Reply Laura @ Life with Lolo March 11, 2015 at 10:56 am

The dog thing is totally normal. The pig thing on the other hand… debatable haha. Way to go on the running though, I wish I could run half as far as I could at 18! As far as self tanners, I use Fake Bake Flawless. It’s a spray gel and you apply it with a mit. It’s a little spendy but I bought a bottle around this time last year and I still have half of it left. And it looks super natural and lasts!

  • Reply Jana @ Jana Says March 11, 2015 at 11:30 am

I can’t wait for flip flop season and I rock pasty white skin like nobody’s business. Don’t even care.

You find the best ecards. They are always perfect and hilarious.

And go you on the running! *High fives*

The pig! Stop with the cuteness! Every time I see one of those little teacup pigs I look at Adam with big pretty please doe eyes and he’s like “NO.” Which he’s right of course, 3 dogs is plenty of animals for one house! Oh my gosh I am so so pale it’s not even funny! I hate the smell of sunless tanners though, no matter how much they SAY they don’t smell funky, they totally do! Congrats on smashing your running record, that is awesome girl!

  • Reply Tracie March 11, 2015 at 12:01 pm

I need to get out the fake bake lotion too. I almost picked some up at the store, then stopped myself. Today, I am wearing a skirt and am pissed I didn’t pick any up.

  • Reply Meegan March 11, 2015 at 12:22 pm

That pig is so freaking cute! I told husband I really wanted a pig but my father-in-law, who is a vet, said people always get “teacup pigs” and then BOOM it’s a ton and is out of control. Way to squash my dreams…

I am so pale too. I use tan towels for when I need a tan for an event but I am in the same fake bake needing advice pool!

  • Reply Dorrie @ Bear Den Plantation March 11, 2015 at 12:48 pm

Bahaha the last ecard is totally me. Also, I have the problem with the dogs and the water. Except for with my wine, and only with one of them. I spilled some once and she… cleaned it up… before I could get back with a paper towel. now I pretty much have to have a wine glass with a lid- or a Tervis. It really depends on the brand I have though, she’s turned into a little wine snob!

  • Reply Tracy March 11, 2015 at 2:43 pm

Way to go, Nadine! Now you get to have that OMG feeling every time you run longer and longer. Such a great feeling!
I’m with you on spring. Normally I’m like no that’s okay, winter is fine, because spring means that it’s almost summer and that just means it’s gross and hot out. But this year I’m ready for spring to gtfo.

    • Reply Tracy March 11, 2015 at 2:43 pm

      Not spring, winter, duh!

  • Reply alyssa March 11, 2015 at 3:31 pm

So happy for you about that run! Every runner has that moment where they break a barrier and even if it doesn’t look like much to someone else, it’s a huge accomplishment! I remember every little milestone on the way to my first race and all those times where I ran just a liiiittle bit longer than the last time… so motivating and such an awesome feeling. Keep up the awesome work!

  • Reply Em March 11, 2015 at 3:32 pm

Bring on the sunshine!! I can’t WAIT for spring!! It hit 50 degrees in Chicago and I about peed myself in excitement. Snow be gone!!! Speaking of sandals…this girl needs to get her pedicure on stat…

  • Reply Teh Megan March 11, 2015 at 7:50 pm

FUCK YEAH for running records!!! I remember running a mile and half without stopping (which is the Navy PRT) and I was so unbearably excited with myself. AIR HIGH FIVE TO YOU!
So the dogs have their own peanut butter container since they go through it so quickly and often I’ll end up with PB on my fingers/hands when I fill their kongs (they get a frozen PB kong when we leave the house) and I lick it off. I don’t even care. Also, after Mr. Scrooge’s surgery, I accidentally dropped one of his pills in the dog’s water bowl and he refused to take it and I was offended.

  • Reply ellesees March 11, 2015 at 9:36 pm

love the funnies at the end. i need a little laughter in my life after what i’ve had happen lately.

  • Reply Kerry March 12, 2015 at 8:59 am

I wouldn’t want to get a pig because they get big, but I’d be all for another puppy. I want it to be Spring so I can wear dresses mostly because they are NOT pants! Ha! The Shy ecards is too perfect!

  • Reply Stephanie March 12, 2015 at 5:16 pm

I always share water with Hawkeye. And not like, oh well she licked it, but she takes big drinks for 10 seconds, and then I’ll drink the same water. We have the same germs, whatever. No shame!

  • Reply Kay R. March 13, 2015 at 1:43 am

My brain is like the Bermuda triangle as well haha …
Also … I hate to be the party pooper but I can and probably would totally resist that snout. I wouldn’t know what to do with a pig ha!

  • Reply Amanda March 14, 2015 at 10:03 pm

GET. THE. PIG! I almost got one as a pet when I was a kid but then I found out how much work went into it and my parents were going to make ME be responsible for it. RUDE. So, do it… then I can live vicariously through you! 😀
I use L’Oreal self tanner… LOVE it and get lots of compliments. It’s pretty cheap, too. I just got some Tarte brand stuff for my face… can’t wait for it to get here so I can try that out, too!
