Confessions

–You guys, I am so sick of hearing about Donald Trump said this or Hilary did that or whatever about the candidates. They are all a bunch of damn idiots and I don’t think we have a good chance with any of them. #meforpresident

–I would never actually want to be president of this county, I just want someone who is qualified for the job and not a sell out. I don’t think that is possible these days. #sellout

–I haven’t had a pedicure in years. I usually do them at home myself. I think I really need to get one soon so I can just keep up with their professional job. I have been so lazy with my feet over the winter I am not sure there is any coming back. At least the nails are painted? #sendhelp

–I was talking to my mom last night and I kept trying to say the word “anticipation” and it kept coming out participation and I was getting so angry. I basically gave up and said you know what I mean…I was prepared. She just laughed. #cantword

–After a trip to Sephora last night, I realized that I am actually not that terrible at picking foundation shades for my skin. No one can. Seriously, the girl that worked there tried for 30 minutes and we barely got an ok match. I really didn’t think my skin was that rare of a color? I mean….I’m pale. But apparently I am pale with no yellow undertones, I am a cooler pale. But I do have some red undertone. And I am not always the palest color but then we can try 4 different colors in one brand and nothing works. This is not a way I want to be unique. I just want to buy all the fun foundations everyone else gets, damnit! #finickyskin

–I got off the wrong exit to go to work yesterday morning. It took me longer than I would like to admit until I realized what I did. #whoops

–I just realized that it has been fifteen years this month since I graduated high school. Holy shit. #old

You know what is one of the most upsetting things that has come from this election so far? That I have people in my life that I respect and trust their judgement saying that they don’t even want to vote. They feel that poorly about the candidates. What a terrible, terrible feeling to have as an American to not want to vote. Urgh.

Oh my gosh..Trump & Hillary are both the worst ever. It’s really scary to think about the future of our country.

I need a pedicure, myself, and to be honest… I’d totally vote for you for president. Best option, at the moment. (I was really REALLY hoping Elizabeth Warren would step up, but no dice.) That said, is it awful that I’m at least a little entertained by this Trump fiasco? Not because I like Trump, mind you, but because I hate Ted Cruz that much? I’m not that fond of Hillary, either.

i don’t hate on people or countries but for real, why is trump still in the running? WHY. he’s a joke and a racist and so many things i can’t even describe.

  • Reply ellesees.net May 4, 2016 at 8:07 am

i’m throwing out my suggestion for the amope for your feet, just saying! 😉 idr the last time i’ve had a pedi either.
trump as president scares the crap out of me.
she used the IQ thing at sephora for a match? what foundation did you end up getting?

Dick move on that HS graduation reminder. I like to live in a blissful world where I only graduated 5 years ago, but I’m a master adulter (not adulterer) and totally still relevant. But seriously, 2004 does NOT seem that long ago.

  • Reply laura May 4, 2016 at 8:35 am

Ugh, election. I’m moving up to Canadia with Kathy. I’m down for pedicures whenever you want to go and get one — my half training has done a number on them. and thanks for that reminder biatch about how long ago we were in high school.

  • Reply Biana @ Blovedboston May 4, 2016 at 8:54 am

I have 0 words for the election LOL!! OMG the work work work e-card is amazing…so true! Why are all of them so true?! xo, biana –BlovedBoston

This whole election cycle is depressing and frustrating and aggravating. It enrages me that THIS is the best both parties have to offer. I could go on but then this would be a post not a comment.

My high school graduation was 21 years ago. That means people who were born the year I graduated can drink legally now. #SOOLD

I heard on the radio this morning that Trump is the unofficial, but basically done deal, republic candidate. WHAT?! Ugh it makes me sick. I’ve blocked it out for the most part, but I’m slightly petrified that man, if you can call him that, might win. What is our country coming to? Also, get a pedi girl. How can you not indulge in those every once in a while? I’m pretty cheap, so I don’t do it often, but they are sooooo worth it!

  • Reply Emily May 4, 2016 at 10:20 am

I will be thrilled come November when it’s all done. One day, not too long ago, I went in to hobby lobby had a full cart, decided I don’t neeeeed any of this. And just left my cart in the aisle and walked out. #sorrynotsorry

  • Reply Kelli May 4, 2016 at 10:27 am

I try to do once a year pedi’s then keep up with it myself from there.

The world laughs at us and our election, just ask my sister. 🙁

  • Reply Jessica @ Pleas(e) & Carrots May 4, 2016 at 10:58 am

I got a pedicure yesterday and it was glorious! Do it, it’s sooo worth not having the frustration of trying to deal with toenails yourself! My high school graduation was 10 years ago, I can’t believe it! Especially since my younger sister is just graduating this year, and my youngest brother doesn’t even graduate for 6 more years!

  • Reply Dani May 4, 2016 at 11:05 am

The only time I really get pedicures is before vacation because I usually just do it myself, and my post-winter feet could definitely use a little TLC! Ugh, sorry to hear about the foundation woes. What were you using before? Can you maybe find it online/eBay? They discontinued my favorite blush but I found a ton of unopened ones for sale on eBay. The Rihanna confession could not be more spot on!

  • Reply mandie May 4, 2016 at 11:06 am

Girl, I would totally vote for you over these clowns they have running. My 14 year old stepdaughter & I have already decided to move to Canada if Trump wins. Yup, we are out! Ha!

  • Reply Rebecca Jo May 4, 2016 at 11:08 am

Dont feel bad – I’ve NEVER had a pedicure.

I swear, I’m just writing in someone’s name for the election. I cant vote for either of them. Just cant. I’ll vote for you.

  • Reply emelia May 4, 2016 at 11:17 am

I’m sooo over Trump too. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve driven to the wrong place on my way to work or home because my mind is racing or all over the place. LOL

  • Reply Andrea @ Living On Cloud Nine May 4, 2016 at 11:59 am

Just wait till you realize you’ve been outta school 27 years, LOL! NADINE FOR PRES. !!! I’ve only ever had a pedi twice, my feet are ticklish and I just paint them and slather on lotion, it works!! Happy Wednesday!!

  • Reply Tracie May 4, 2016 at 12:07 pm

I hav the exact same problem with my foundation too! I frequently just give up as it looks different in every light anyways. Meaning I look crazy on the regs.

  • Reply Erin LFF May 4, 2016 at 1:47 pm

I went yearssss without getting a pedicure, and now I’m up to like 1-2 per year 😉 I cannot wait to get mine done in the next couple of weeks or so though- my feet need some attention ASAP. Your funnies are always- seriously, that Rihanna song loL!!

  • Reply Ashley @ The Wandering Weekenders May 4, 2016 at 2:14 pm

I’m with you on this Presidential election, I feel like the two contenders that will probably win the party nominations are both terrible options! It doesn’t look good either way! That sucks so much that you can’t find a foundation to wear at Sephora! You would think with their color matching system that you’d be able to find something that works!

  • Reply Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis May 4, 2016 at 5:20 pm

I’m with ya on confessions 1 and 2. I can’t even. Scrolling down to find your birth year is pretty annoying now thinking about.

  • Reply Cara May 4, 2016 at 6:06 pm

Have you ever tried mixing your foundations? Sometimes I have to do that to get an exact match, especially in the winter months. #paleprobs

  • Reply Mattie @ Northwest Native May 4, 2016 at 6:41 pm

I’ve had a pedicure more recently than years, but I just hate spending money so I try to avoid it. But then when I finally paint my own I’m all happy and then they just look like crap way too soon, and then they stay looking crappy and start chipping until I finally paint them again. I think I need to get at least one pedicure this summer to get into the cycle too!

  • Reply Lindsay May 4, 2016 at 7:35 pm

Jason wrote himself in for governor this year and I think I’m going to do that for the presidential election. I’m just not thrilled. I have trouble with foundation, too! I thought I had a great color and then I realized today it’s actually way too light. WTF. It’s 13 years since high school for me and that blows my mind! Where is the time going, girl?!

  • Reply Kate @ Green Fashionista May 4, 2016 at 7:57 pm

I could not agree with you more on Trump and Hillary, I would totally vote for you gurlie! I kept waiting for a great candidate to emerge from the Independent party and it just hasn’t happened. Still holding out hope!

  • Reply Jess May 4, 2016 at 8:34 pm

I think I’m at 11 years since I graduated high school -.-. They always match me with a shade too dark when they use their matching tool at Sephora. We end up having to go lighter. Like almost always the palest haha. Did you try NARS? I use the Sheer Glow and it works for me, but it took me going through a lot of foundations to find one that works for my skin.

  • Reply Megan May 4, 2016 at 10:09 pm

I am getting really sick of hearing about Trump ALL THE TIME! It makes me kind of nervous of what will happen later this year! I’ve actually never had a pedicure before…..hahaha but I feel like I need to jump on the bandwagon & get one someday!

  • Reply Kaitlyn May 5, 2016 at 2:25 am

My boyfriend and I were out and about last week and Rihanna’s song came on and I looked at him and asked, “What do you think she’s saying in this song, other than work work work work work…?!” I proceeded to sing “and blah blah blah blah blah”. He explains the song to me and I’m like….how the heck did you get all that from that?! He said, “I’m good at listening to lyrics” haha, sure enough he was! He got it right. I’ve been shopping for a new foundation but I still can’t find anything that competes with my $15 Neutrogena foundation from CVS. I spent 2 hours in Sephora a few weeks ago shopping for lip glosses. That store is so addictive.

  • Reply Stephanie May 5, 2016 at 12:35 pm

I had to do math to figure out how long ago I graduated high school. 13 years. yikes. When did that happen?!

  • Reply Carly May 6, 2016 at 7:56 am

I am a legit a little glad to be over here and avoid the election madness. Although, we’ll be back in time for the general which I expect to be a serious circus show.

  • Reply kristen May 17, 2016 at 4:09 pm

LOL at getting off at the wrong exit and using the wrong word. i give up easily too haha.
also, yes to president. i just want someone who actually wants to the job and be good at it and good for the country, but it’s just another shot at 15 minutes of fame or how can i get something out of it for me for a lot of them and i’m thankful i can’t vote lol
