Friday Favorites

Favorite Song:Fly Over States – Jason Aldean – I couldn’t help but be totally cheesy while in the air this week looking down at all the farms and sparse housing in certain areas. In all my years, I have driven through lots of states: Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Arkansas, Kansas, Kentucky, New York, and Canada. I am here to tell you that all those states had their fair share of little towns and spare housing areas. It truly is beautiful when you think about it.

Favorite Meal:Wednesday evening we ate at Bull & Bear at our hotel (Waldork Astoria on Disney Property.) It was a four course meal that spanned over three hours and it was delicious!!!! My first course was corn soup, second was Caesar salad, third was filet mignon with family style sides of macaroni and cheese with bacon, asparagus, creamed corn, and mashed potatoes. The forth course was creme brulee. It came out still flaming. Holy yum. Unfortunately, I have zero pictures because I was surrounded by people in my company and I didn’t want to be that girl. None of them know about my blog!

Favorite Moment: Thursday evening, after dinner at the Napa Room at Disney Contemporary Hotel, we got to watch the fireworks show and see the castle. This is the closest I have come to actually being at Disney so far, and I will take what I can get. The night was a special Halloween show, so it was supposed to be a little better than their normal show with 360 degree fireworks around the park. Basically, I really just want to come back down here with Chris and have the whole Disney experience!!!!!

As a former Floridian and someone who lived only 30 minutes from Disney for about 7 years I have never eaten at any of the restaurants you did, but you have no idea how many times I have dreamed of dinner at the Contemporary Hotel just to watch the fireworks.
I hope you are ultimately able to enjoy the parks, they are beautiful this time of year.

That ravioli looks BOMB! So jealous of people who get to go on work trips. I’d have to be an attorney to be able to go anywhere in my office.

Haha, Taco Bell! I’ve never eaten or heard of most of those restaurants but they sound divine and that dessert looks right up my alley! We’re looking at staying at a hotel near Disney when my sis comes into town and we head to Orlando for a weekend and one of the options is a room with their fireworks view so this made me really hope that’s the room she chooses!! Glad you’re getting to experience a little bit of the Disney magic!

I probably should have waited to read this post until after I had breakfast – OMG my mouth is watering…lobster mac and cheese is my weakness!!! So glad to hear you’re having a great time in Orlando and hope you have a great weekend!!

Seriously Disney is amazing. They do everything top notch. My dad pretty much has every park mapped out and has the fast past system down. He makes all of us stay for the fireworks including my sisters kids who are pretty much asleep by that time but I honestly can’t believe they do those fireworks every night like that! Glad you are having fun! Wish you had some spare time I totally would have come up there!

I want to go back to Disney World. I have been twice, and to Disneyland once. I cry every single time, especially when I first arrive. No shame 😉
