Weekend Shenanigans

We seem to be full steam ahead into September. I am not really sure how that happened, but I will take it!

Friday – As I was leaving work Friday afternoon, I saw two different rainbows on my way home! One that was above our office, and one on I-59 heading towards Trussville.

Friday evening Laura and Bennett came up to our house! It was so nice to have friends over. We sampled some beers, listened to some awesome music….and then battled it out in Mario Kart! I discovered that Laura shares the same love for Marvelous Three/Butch Walker. The only picture that escaped from the night was this gem of Chris and Mac. BFF!

In other news, Mac clearly needs a fur cut! He is looking like a crazy man!

Saturday – We got a lot of stuff done around the house Saturday morning. We then settled in to catch the Alabama game. We won 41 to nothing. Afterwards we ran some errands and did some shopping. Chris needed some new tennis shoes to match all his Alabama gear that he wears on the weekends, and I wanted to go to Nordstrom Rack to see if they still had my shoes that I have had my eye on.

While I was there, I happened to score a great top and sweater too! Does anyone else take pictures of everything in the fitting room before they buy it like I do? *crickets*

These Cole Haan shoes are the most comfortable flats I have ever tried on in my life. EVER!! They had a tan pair and a tan pair with some animal print detailing on them as well. Perhaps if these remain as comfortable as I think they will, I will go back for some more! I tried on a few Tory Burch shoes and they were all instantly very painful. How the hell do all of you wear them around? If I am paying that much for a pair of shoes, they shouldn’t hurt so bad! You all are crazy!

Sunday – I got the meal planning and grocery shopping done. Speaking of which, Target finally put out their seasonal creamers!!!! In addition to the Pumpkin Pie Spice and Frosted Sugar Cookies, they had Gingerbread Latte and Peppermint Mocha. Oh yeah! My mornings just got a lot sweeter. See what I did there?

IMG_3618.JPGSunday afternoon we watched some football and both the Steelers and the Falcons won! YAY!!!!! 🙂 And we worked very hard on a project that we are starting up! Probably more to come on that later.

I hope that everyone had a great weekend! Let’s kick some Monday butt!

I think Tory Burch flats are ugly and look uncomfortable. I tried them on and confirmed my suspicions. LOL

I like the top! I don’t take pics in the fitting room unless I need a second opinion. I do look at my ass in the mirror using a compact to make sure it’s not hideous.

Comfortable flats are ESSENTIAL! And I always take pictures of myself trying on clothes – Because the way I see myself, and the way the camera sees me are ALWAYS different. And if it doesn’t look good in a picture – I usually don’t buy. Is that weird?

    FOOTBALL SUNDAY! YAY!!!

How does the Sugar cookie creamer taste? Suuuuper sweet?
My pup, who looks very similar to yours, also needs a haircut pretty badly…I kind of love when he’s a shaggy mess tho 🙂

I do not take pictures in fitting rooms because I almost never go shopping. When I do, I try to bring an honest friend along. And that top? Love it. I would never wear it because I don’t do prints but I love it on other people.

Your dog is so cute. My guys look like a hot mess, too.

I like to get in and get out so normally I don’t even try anything on. Gasp, I know! Haha! Love the seasonal creamers though most aren’t sugar free so I don’t get to try them. Boo.

Oh I totally take pictures! Now I will start sending them to you! BTW my target did not have those leggings! I am totally going to stalk the one the next town over because I need them in my life!

Love your shopping finds! YES, I do take pictures in the fitting room! Sometimes I take a pic to remember what I liked and what I didn’t because I’m not ready to buy yet, other times I send it to Adam to see if he likes it.

OHH yum, seasonal coffee creamers! My favorite!

I want those flats but all my money is going to house stuff! My Tory Burch shoes are the least comfortable flats I own. I’ve heard that you need to size up at least a half size but still, so crazy!

I have taken pics in the fitting room but then I feel weird if my phone is on noise cuz I feel like everyone can hear it.

I had some pumpkin spice cream last year that a co-worker brought & it wasn’t that good. It was like straight sugar no pumpkin spice. Peppermint and gingerbread sound awesome too.
I saw some pumpkin cookies at the store, in passing, and when I walked back to check it out they were just pumpkin shaped. So I haven’t had anything pumpkin yet.

Looks like both Alabama and Florida kicked butt this weekend! Love Nordstrom Rack- good thing there isn’t one on my way home from work.

That leopard top looks good on you, girl!
Is it wrong that I want to drink JUST the cookie flavored creamer?!

  • Reply Snoskred September 9, 2014 at 6:38 am

Yes, I own those same Cole Haan flats in two different colours, gold and bronze.

Seriously, Oprah had been telling me (and her entire audience of course, but it was always like she was talking directly to me! lol) for years to get Cole Haan shoes. Being in Australia, that was not easy. On a trip to Hawaii, I went into the Cole Haan store and bought comfort, and it was just as amazing as Oprah said it would be.

I saw them on Zappos recently for decent prices – they have the bronze and silver there – just under $100 which was cheaper than in the Cole Haan store – and I was so tempted to get more. The silver ones in particular. But it is a bit of a deal to get them shipped here, so it is not to be at the moment.. but you might like to check them out on Zappos! 😉

Such pretty rainbows! And I love that top on you, really cute. I bought a similar sweater, looks the same actually, but from Old Navy.

Thanks for linking up for MMG and the kind words on my Monday post 🙂

My favorite is peppermint flavored though I have yet to try the sugar cookie. Great haul! And I’ve never bought Tory Burch anything (what’s the big deal about it?) but Cole Haan has always been a brand worth my money!

  • Reply Gayle September 10, 2014 at 4:35 pm

I promise I read the whole post, but the only thing I took away is that you know who Butch Walker is.
