–I had a post started for yesterday and I decided not to post at all. I was behind on blog reading and responding to emails and had a zillion things to do for MCB….so I thought it best to not add to the crazy! Why is it that some weeks I feel I can never catch up, and others are cricket chirping quiet?! #bloggerprobz

–I ran late yesterday morning because I refused to wear my peep toe booties without polish on my toes. #girlprobz

–I had to leave the house wearing flip flops to let said toes dry and got stared down by some judgy bitch at the gas station. She basically had one eye brow, so I don’t understand why she was worried about my temporary driving shoes. #bitch

–Sometimes I believe in signs. Yesterday I had a fortune cookie and check out what it said…

Fortune Cookie

This morning during my run, my arches of my feet and my ankles were killing me more than the actual run. Yup, new shoes would indeed do me a world of good. #higharchprobz

–In tracking my food this week and evaluating where I need to make changes to start IIFYM next week I learned that I am not getting enough protein. Not even a little close to the right amount. #oops

–I am all kinds of confused on what was appropriate dress for today. We start out around 75 degrees and a cold front is supposed to come through and by evening we will be below freezing with more threats of winter weather tomorrow morning. Only in Alabama folks. #alabamaweatherprobz

Even my Authentic Weather app is confused…

The universe is basically demanding you get yourself some new shoes – haha! I love that you refused to leave before painting your toes- totally something I would do! And I feel you on the #bloggerprobz .. Some weeks just feel like there’s never enough time or energy!

LOL to all the ecards. Schmidt is amazing 🙂 Get yourself some shoes girlfriend- if the fortune cookies say it, it MUST be true!!

My podiatrist (hashtag old lady advice) told me the best sneakers for high arches are asics gel kayuno (sp) but even better go to a store and let someone who knows tell you. I feel you on the feet issues. They make life miserable.

I haven’t been blogging either. I haven’t really felt inspired. This weather is ruining my life. Seriously 75 spins like heaven. PS I applaud you for not leaving the house without painted toes. I would never. I’d take a sick day first, lol.

So funny about the polish on your toes – I would do the same thing! And that lady – I love when people sit there and judge me when I can look at them and see a million things I would like to ask her why she is wearing that or why her hair is like that. And those e-cards so funny!

I love the nail polish thing, I would be the exact same way! What kind of running shoes do you have? I need to get some new ones but I never know what to get.

  • Reply Joey March 4, 2015 at 10:49 am

I never eat enough protein either. It’s a real problem. And girl YES! New shoes are totes in your future. I’ve already decided that I’m treating myself to a pedicure on the 14th once all our stuff is unloaded from the uhaul. My friend who is helping us needs some alone girl time, and I haven’t had a pedicure in…4 years? Yeah. It’s a problem.

The nail polish story is so funny. My first thought was weren’t your feet cold?? Then I realized you weren’t in Boston. It’s not that cold today but you still couldn’t wear sandals.

  • Reply Tracy March 4, 2015 at 11:39 am

Yes girl, get you some new shoes! And then share them with us 🙂
I don’t keep track but I seriously doubt I eat anywhere close to the normal amount of protein. I’m vegetarian so that makes it harder since I don’t get any from meat, but even if I did eat meat I doubt I’d be in the normal range.

LOL I love your ecards. They are like, the story of my life 🙂 Weather’s screwy in north Florida, too. It’s driving me batty! -Dorrie @ Bear Den Plantation

Man, I am thinking I need to track my marcos because i’m almost positive i’m not getting enough protein. i mean, how do you even track it? how do i even know how much i need? what other things do you need to track? I AM SO CONFUSED.
we are supposed to get 5-10+ inches of snow today / tonight / tomorrow. the weather people have no idea what they are talking about, they can’t pinpoint the amount or the time, so they should just shut their mouths. SO OVER IT.
sorry about your ankles and arches girlfran, that is not good!! get some new shoes if they hurt!

YES to the one about the dogs! Barkley is convinced the mailman is going to murder us and my 16 pound dog will be the one who stops him.

One eyebrowed judgy lady needs to back off. At least you only forgot shoes. She forgot an eyebrow. And that’s on her face.

Being low on protein is really common. A lot of our pre-packaged food is low in protein because it’s more expensive than throwing in some more starches or even vegetables. I’m still working on correcting it in my own diet. 😛

I love fortune cookie fortunes! They’re so delightfully random. We have a bunch sitting in a bowl on the counter, because they give us so many whenever we get takeout, and I grabbed one today, “We judge others based on actions, we judge ourselves based on motives.” And I kind of felt like I needed to hear that today.

  • Reply Julia @ Grace Makes New March 4, 2015 at 1:56 pm

Yes to the protein thing! When I first started 21 Day fix last year I was AMAZED at how much more protein I was eating than usual, and go figure, I felt more satisfied and didn’t get as hungry as fast! Adam had been trying to tell me I wasn’t eating enough protein, and boy did he get a kick out of being right! 😉

But really…if we don’t start a movie by like 6:30, it’s not happening because I will be sound asleep before the opening credits even end! haha!

  • Reply Morgan March 4, 2015 at 3:39 pm

haha I was also running late this morning because I needed to paint my toes. #priorities

  • Reply Teh Megan March 4, 2015 at 7:22 pm

I have actually said, in real life, recently… “It’s 8:30, I’m not going to watch any movie you start right now..”
Due to your constant showing-off-age of your weather app, I finally quit resisting and downloaded it. I think my app is confused because it says something about brain freeze and it’s 78°F outside right now. I don’t get it.

  • Reply Kerry March 4, 2015 at 7:27 pm

I skipped today and probably tomorrow because I need to catch up on life. Total blogger problems! I am so over Winter so I agree with the app. That last ecard is priceless! Love it!

  • Reply alyssa March 4, 2015 at 9:55 pm

Sorry to hear your feet/ankles were bothering you, but it does sound like some new shoes could help! Also, if your arches are bugging you, try freezing a water bottle and then rolling your foot over it post-run for a few minutes. Works like a charm! And I have to ask, is it your ankle that’s bothering you or is it kinda the back of your ankle, around the heel and above it?

  • Reply Jessi March 5, 2015 at 1:31 am

MORE PROTEIN! Get in there!!! 🙂

Not fair… I want that fortune! LOL. It would give me a good excuse to tell my hubby that I need a new pair of shoes.
