Confessions

–Yesterday I sat down to write a post and was like ummm……So I decided to just call it a day off! It gave me a chance to catch up on email and read all of your posts 🙂 #fuckit

–The amount of time I spend looking for awesome ecards each week for Wednesdays and Fridays is probably shameful. #noshame

–My five year old nephew says the funniest shit. My mom went up to see him after his surgery and she brought him balloons. He says “Ummm, where is my cake and flowers?!?!” My mom was like “What do you mean cake and flowers?” He said, “I was in the hospital and have boo boos, you should have brought cake and flowers with these balloons.” My mom said, “Aren’t flowers kind of girly?” Cooper said, “Flowers are beautiful and I was sick….” #kidssaythedarndestthings

–This time of year is always weird for me. I am so ready to wear all the pretty fall clothes but am torn because it is too damn hot to do such! The thought of jeans and boots right now makes me twitch. Yet, I feel like a weirdo wearing my sandals and summer dresses until October. #alabamaweather

–I am already starting to have anxiety about having to fly for a work trip in a few weeks. The fear is real you guys. So real! #ihateflying

–I walked around Z Gallery on Friday during my lunch break and have decided that I basically just want to move in to the store. Why do they have to make everything look so pretty and perfect?!?!? I was hoping to get some ideas for how I want to finally decorate our house and now I am more confused than ever. I can’t even decide on a look, yet alone colors and actual items. Meanwhile, we are on year 3 of bare walls for my lack of decision making abilities. #givemealltheprettythings

–Today was leg day. I love to hate leg day. Leg work is hard stuff and I love the burn the next day. You know the one, where you are left waddling around. That is when you know you had a good work out! #waddlelikeapenguin

I feel you on fall clothes! This week has been cooler for us, but I only have one pair of dress pants. I realized I could wear leggings, but then remembered I only wear them tucked in to boots…and it is definitely not boot weather yet, sadly enough.

That nephew of yours!! Too cute!! Oh leg work. I know it’s worth it but it is not taking away my cellulite, ha ha!! Flying can be tough but if you get in a zone, eat some protein and stay hydrated, you’ll be fine. Another top, a natural calming supplement is L. Theanine. You can find it at vitamin stores. I take it before flights or stressful work situations or before the
dentist. It works!! Happy Hump Day!!

Oh my gosh, I have such a fear of flying! If there is a lot of turbulence I am a MESS! Totally feel you on the seasons thing! In Florida you really don’t NEED to wear anything resembling sweaters or boots till like November/December (and sometimes not even then!) but when everyone else starts breaking out all the Fall goodies I can’t help but join in on the fun! Thankfully I am cold-natured!

Ok, so true story something happened to my friend and she ended up in jail two weeks ago, she wasnt arrested just had too many drinks and she lost her phone and her wallet and her shoes and she didnt know anyone’s phone number to call and pick her up. She got a really nice cab driver and he took her on her word that her roommate would pay for the cab when he got to her apartment. I live alone so i really need to memorize someones number!

Oh how adorable is your nephew!! That story is so cute. I feel you about ready to wear fall clothing but the weather says something else. I cannot wait to break out my scarfs, jeans, and boots. Hopefully, the heat won’t last much longer. At least I hope. Don’t be scared to fly. It will be ok, just breathe and relax. Try not to think about it too much. I find that helps.

  • Reply Jessica September 2, 2015 at 9:54 am

“Flowers are beautiful and I was sick”– aww that is adorable! And he heat needs to go away so fall clothes can be worn! I can’t wait!

  • Reply Lindsay Latimer September 2, 2015 at 10:02 am

Yes on the fall clothes! It’s 95 here today- what the hell?! I’ll be wearing sandals until October, too. And no jeans. Your nephew is hilarious! If you ever want the truth, go ask a child! Your first eCard is me every day!

  • Reply Kelli September 2, 2015 at 10:15 am

K’s teacher had on boots yesterday when I picked K up, it was 90 degrees out. I know it’s September but she looked silly wearing boots in 90 degree weather.

I feel like boot weather here doesn’t start officially until November. Fall is so much later in the south than it is other places.

Sometimes you just need a day off from writing a post and just read! Those are my favorite days!

  • Reply Tania // Run to Radiance September 2, 2015 at 10:33 am

Good for you for taking a day off!! And I am also not a huge fan of flying…just have a glass of wine or something if you can!

  • Reply blake September 2, 2015 at 11:11 am

I want to start wearing fall clothes too. It’s my favorite type of year because I’m addicted to boots. But it’s still like a hundred fifty degrees here (not really).

  • Reply Biana @ Blovedboston September 2, 2015 at 11:25 am

Oh my gosh your nephew is too cute and yes I love that they say what is on their minds!! I’m not even close to ready for Fall…it’s still too hot outside LOL! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

bahahahaha that first bitch card. hilarious. and your nephew is hilarious, and right 😉 but any excuse for cake (or sweets because hashtag fatty). seriously though z gallery’s stuff is SO pretty but too expensive for us.. and most of our walls are bare LOL

  • Reply Rebecca Jo September 2, 2015 at 11:40 am

I feel ya girl – I hate flying!!!
I could read those funny ecards all day long! #sorrynotsorry

  • Reply Laura @ Life with Lolo September 2, 2015 at 11:41 am

I have post leg day and first volleyball game of the year waddle going on too. All the hurts. I’m super ready for fall clothes also and we are going to have a little dip into the high 60s here this week so I think that means I can wear boots right? Then it will be back to 90 for a few weeks. Such torture! Although of course this 60 degree weather has to land on the outdoor wedding I’m in this weekend #luckyme. I think the graphic about going to bed and thinking about it since the second you got up is so true. I want my bed. Always.

  • Reply Jana @ Jana Says September 2, 2015 at 11:56 am

I’m glad you spend all that time looking for funnies because they are always on point. Always.

Kids are hysterical. I never stop being surprised by what comes out of their mouths.

hahahaha the bitch ecard. that’s always my reason why i’m a bitch! if more people were smarter, i’d be way nicer!

  • Reply Pamela @ A Little Glitter September 2, 2015 at 1:53 pm

I love this post so much. Your nephew is adorable. I totally feel him. If I have a lot of boo-boos there had BETTER be some cake and flowers.

  • Reply SMD @ Life According to Steph September 2, 2015 at 2:28 pm

Bare walls are a foreign concept to me. LOL

  • Reply Amanda Elizabeth September 2, 2015 at 2:47 pm

I can’t even admit to any how long it takes me to find my Friday gifs…it’s a science I tell yah 😉 I make Mark practice my phone number and same for him because I seriously didn’t even know my own husbands phone number for like the first 3 months of being married it’s pathetic!

  • Reply alyssa September 2, 2015 at 3:11 pm

Good on you for giving yourself a day off! Quality over quantity 🙂 and girl, I feel you on the weather. It’s 90º here today but I’m burning my “Leaves” candle from BBW because I just so badly want it to start feeling like fall! 🙂

  • Reply Joey September 2, 2015 at 4:10 pm

7AM!?!?! I envy that person’s life! I’ve been thinking about crawling back in bed since 4:30 this morning (insert wailing emoji). I’m with you on the taking a day off from blogging thing–it’s necessary sometimes!

  • Reply Kate @ Green Fashionista September 2, 2015 at 4:18 pm

LOL at your nephew, dude wants some flowers for his boo-boos! And yay for a much needed day off, we all need them and I need to start doing it more 🙂

  • Reply Amanda September 2, 2015 at 9:00 pm

    I’m definitely Team Cooper… should’ve brought a cake. 😉

  • Reply Evelina September 2, 2015 at 9:52 pm

haha so lesson of the day is bring cake and flowers to hospitals! I love Z Gallery too!

  • Reply Kerry September 2, 2015 at 10:05 pm

Kids always say it like it is. It is still way too hot for jeans and boots.

  • Reply ellesees.blogspot.com September 3, 2015 at 6:42 am

so true about the phone numbers. idk anyone’s number!!

  • Reply Michael September 3, 2015 at 1:07 pm

You take as much time with those eCards as you need because they always crack me up! I love the stabbing one 🙂

  • Reply Teh Megan September 9, 2015 at 8:13 pm

Well, your ecard search is always worth it for my entertainment purposes, so kthx. I spent an extremely obnoxious amount of time looking for quotes on pinterest, so I’m completely understand.
I also understand the fall/summer/living in the South debacle. All I want to do is wear a freakin’ hoodie, but I can’t because it’s too miserable because Charleston sucks donkey balls and summer lasts a mabillionty months of the year…..
