1. My dogs – I know, big surprise. I am a bit dog obsessed, but I love those dogs like kids! Look at Mac giving me a hug last night. It makes me heart smile!

So, it’s no secret that I love all kinds of music. If you saw my Spotify account, you would think I had multiple personalities! No one can get it right like some country folks though, I am going to be honest! Simple, heart felt lyrics at their best. I think one of my favorite songs based on lyrics is “Love Like Crazy” by Lee Brice. If you do not know this song, you have to listen to it, or just read the lyrics.
I typed this without looking it up, I know this song by heart. I know every word to this song, as I listen to it often. It reminds me of things that my grandparents would tell me when I was little. They always taught me to do what was right, even if I didn’t like the consequences. Some of the words in this song are so simple, yet I think we forget them a lot.
You should always be a friend, even when someone isn’t being one back.
Always tell the truth and be honest. If you lie, you start living those lies. It’s too much to keep up with! You will loose who you are.
You should always express your love to those close to you. I never get off the phone with my mom, dad, sister, and husband without saying “I love you.” I even tell some friends that I love them as well.
You should always do your best. Even when you are discouraged. When you give your all and work hard, you will eventually be rewarded in one way or another. You will know that you gave everything you had, and if it didn’t work out…you did your best. You can’t beat yourself up over your best.
Common sense is something that some people throw out the window. You can be the smartest book smart person on the planet, but if you ain’t got common sense, you ain’t got shit. (Sorry, I was thinking about some common sense smart country folks when I said that.)
Something I am guilty about is not praying regularly like I should. You should NEVER let your praying knees get lazy, and this is something I am going to work on.
I was at a funeral yesterday. Some of the children of the man that passed talked about how he always did the right thing, and worked very hard. They have a huge, successful business now…and truth and hard work were the foundation of that business that their father built on.
I think sometimes we need a reminder of those things. Perhaps living your life more simply, will turn you into something extraordinary. The most extraordinary people I know, are just your average people who live their lives by doing the right thing.
You should always be there for family, no matter what. Love people unconditionally. Always help others that need it. Give when you can. Be quiet when you should. And be thankful every day for what you have.

Linking up with two more of my blogger turned real life friends Heather and Ashley for the Home Town Hop.
Now, I am going to be honest…I am a little torn on what to call my “hometown.” Is your hometown where you were born, where you lived the majority of your life so far, or where you call home now? I was born and raised in Pennsylvania (that’s right, true Yankee right here), moved to Missouri when I was in middle school, then moved to Georgia when I was in high school. I lived in Georgia the longest. Then I moved to Alabama two years ago, and this is now my “home.” So I am not sure which city to talk about. I don’t really consider Missouri my “home town,” or home at all. We lived there a few years, in two different houses in two different cities. That was a lot of moving around, and nothing really permanent. I always knew that we wouldn’t be staying for long. However, I do still keep up with two of my friends from there. Thank you Facebook!
With all that said…
Let me introduce you to Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Greensburg is located about 30 miles east of Pittsburgh. If you have ever visited or met several people from different northern states, you know that every major city has its own accent and own vocabulary. This holds true for Pennsylvania. You certainly can tell a difference from those on the Pittsburgh side vs those on the Philadelphia side! Go Steelers!

Two of my blogger turned real life friends, Kalyn and Lauren have started a new link up for Mondays called Coffee and Conversations. I am so excited about this link up, I love coffee and I love talking, so this is great! Kalyn and Lauren are both so sweet, you have to go check out their blogs if you haven’t already!

Friday evening was pretty eventful! After we got home from work, we headed over to Bill’s for dinner. It was the first time I had chips and queso since my surgery a few weeks ago, and it was amazing! After dinner, we met up with some of our friends at the bowling alley. You guys, I am not going to lie…I SUCK at bowling. Like major suckola! I had the best time though! After we bowled a few games, we decided to go over to Trio’s (a bar) because one of my husbands friends was DJ’ing there. It was interesting. There is always such a random mix of people in Trussville. Sadly I have no pictures from this night. I always forget to take some!
Saturday morning was lazy. I spent a lot of time with the dogs. Can these two get any cuter??
