–I have a really hard time dropping my dogs off to get boarded. The people there are great, and they always give me a full report on how the dogs did…that isn’t the problem. The problem is the way the dogs act when I drop them off. Gracie always wraps her paws around my legs and clings to me like I am sending her off forever. She gives me the saddest most hurtful puppy eyes you ever did see. The girls always have to come and pull her off of me and drag her away. She cries and keeps looking back to keep my eye contact the entire time. And Mac? That asshole could care less. “Ohhhh there is a new girl…she is taking me for a walk?! Awesome! Peace out bro!” I am not sure which one hurts my heart worse?! I ALWAYS walk back to my car sobbing hysterically.

–I was way too excited about this bag of chips that Casi brought me from Pittsburgh. They are my absolute favorite and you can not find them down south. Chris even said these are better than anything he has ever had. We will totally eat this entire bag on our beach trip with NO SHAME.

–I didn’t get in last night from our Atlanta excursion until almost 11:30pm. Putting me to bed around midnight on a “school night.” I am probably going to pay for that…

— Are you a member of your neighborhood or “city happening” page on Facebook? Have you ever noticed that people are nosy as fuck?!?! Like seriously!!!! It is one thing to maybe say “Hey there is an accident on Hwy 11, try to avoid the area” or something like that. But I have been seeing more and more people saying things like “There is an ambulance at the house that I just drove by on Main Street. What is going on?” IT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!!!

–To stick with the same subject, when someone is giving away a pet on Facebook and they say something like “We took in this stray lab mix but he doesn’t get along with my current dogs and cats, I really don’t want to take him to the shelter because he is really sweet, would anyone like to adopt him?” Don’t freaking post about how awful this person is for trying to give the dog away. Some pets just wont work together. At least he took the dog off the street and is trying to do the right thing. If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all!!!!

–I started like hyperventilating about work last night towards the end of the day because I know that I have SO MUCH to do at work before I can leave that I am not quite sure how I am going to un-bury myself.

–I am going to be a bit behind on blog readings this week and I am terribly sorry! I will eventually circle back around. My life needs to calm it’s tits this week! So much to do, so little time!

Going to bed late on a “school night” gets me every time. When did I get so old???? Hope you get un-buried in time for the long weekend!!

OMG I cannot take my dogs to be boarded anymore. They used to get boarded at the vets and it broke my heart to leave them, but I always figured they were okay once they got back there, but my poor Schnitzel would get so upset that he’d be sick to his stomach for days after he got back, and the vet told me being boarded is just too much for him so I can’t take them back! You should try to look into finding someone to stay at your house, some dog walking services offer it. There’s actually an employee at our vet who does that on the side, and one of my mom’s friends moms does it.. just something to look into if you’d feel better doing that 🙂

YES! I joined my local area’s FB group and people are nosy as fuck. Seriously, what the hell is up with posting stuff like that? One woman started a gofundme or something that campaign to raise money for her daughter to participate in cheerleading and posted it to the group, too. Really, lady? I think she got kicked out and the post was definitely taken down.

And, as always, I agree with all of your ecards. Especially the personal trainer one. And the stupid people one.

Aww PUPPIES!!!!! Yeah, I’d cry too… Not the same thing, but kind of, When I first started taking Emry to daycare (when he was a toddler) He cried and watched me from the window as I left.. BROKE MY HEART…

Now, I drop him off for camp, and he’s all PEACE OUT CUB SCOUT… Breaks my heart even more.

I’m trying really hard to unbury myself as well.. but, work just keeps coming in.. AHHHHHHHH

Oh… spiders are awful… and I really hate being nice to people I want to punch in the face. (ADULT PROBLEMS AM I RIGHT?)

I haaaaaate the buried feeling! I hope you catch up so you can enjoy your vacation to the fullest!

    People are so MFing nosy.

Hurrah for the beach! I hope you have an awesome time.

I’d be upset with the boarding drop off too. My dogs have never been boarded, we’ve always had a dog sitter come stay at our house. We’ve been lucky.

  • Reply Meegan July 2, 2014 at 3:41 pm

UGH! People are so loud in those Facebook groups! They just need to sit down and shut up already! Bahaha I really need someone to follow me around especially on weekends. But I think we’d get in some major fights. You can do it girl. Power through it and just think about how awesome your weekend will be–So jealous! Can’t wait to hear about it!

  • Reply Em July 2, 2014 at 4:05 pm

Omg I feel the same way!! I mean I’m really bad about dropping off my furbabies even when it’s just to the vet for grooming and they have to be there for awhile while I’m at work or something. I cry every single time! And I most definitely need someone to just come by and smack all the unhealthy foods out of my hands hahaha.

  • Reply Melissa July 2, 2014 at 4:17 pm

okay but yes. to that dog adoption thing. sometimes they don’t mesh! and if your family pets have been around forever you’re not going to give them away! you’re trying to do the right thing! eugh.

also, i need someone to come around slapping chips and bread out of my hand on the daily.

tears reading about dropping the dogs off- I cry leaving mine at the house for vacation because I feel so so bad. Such saps we are. Good luck getting unburied!!

i was feeling the same way about work before i head out to indiana for week and it just got worse because my coworker who we essentially do the saem thing together just turned in her 2 week notice and her last day is tomorrow so now i have to take on her work load!

  • Reply Kate July 2, 2014 at 7:10 pm

I would never post something so nosy on a city happenings but I definitely read- oops!

  • Reply Kristen July 2, 2014 at 7:23 pm

omg the spider meme – so true! freaked me out just thinking about it. people are so gosh darn nosy, they piss me off! i love my husband but he is nosy as heck about our neighbours (who abandoned their house) i mean i’m curious too, but he’s cray cray. hope life calms down for you! also, i dont have dogs but i could not do that. i was a mess leaving my dog with my mum when i moved, and when i went back it was a horrible mess of tears. obviously not the same thing, but dogs are so perceptive and it was heartbreaking.

  • Reply Kelli July 2, 2014 at 11:17 pm

I LOVE the cookie monster meme, you can get that work done! A vacation reward lies at the end. 🙂

  • Reply Amanda July 2, 2014 at 11:48 pm

I’m super swamped with work right now, too! I feel like I could stay there for 3 days STRAIGHT without sleep and still not make a dent! It definitely makes the days go by faster though, so I can’t complain about that!

  • Reply Teh Megan July 3, 2014 at 12:11 am

If I’m not in bed by 9/10 on a school night, I’m so nasty the next day. It’s the absolute worst.
I’ve never had to drop off my dogs at the boarder, but I have had friends dog sit and Phil wasn’t even excited when I returned. He would have rather just stayed with them! I called my friends his “real” family. He only uses me for the food.

  • Reply Jackie July 3, 2014 at 12:16 am

I just don’t think I could ever board my dogs. I have a pet/house sitter lined up for when I travel.
