–Why do songs and commercials insist on having sirens?!? I mean my heart legit stops for a minute and I begin panicking immediately. It never fails. Then I am like….stupid song!!!
–I forgot to mention two weeks ago when we went to the Black Jacket Symphony concert, I was carded to make sure I was 21 to get in. Chris was all like, “Ummm why did they card her?” His dad was like “Because they think she is a kid.” YES!!!!!!!!!!
–Sometimes you gotta go off roading to avoid traffic. Or, at least that is what I did yesterday. I drove through a muddy/grassy median after realizing that I-59 was completely stopped. I felt like a bad-ass rebel, too! Take that traffic!!!!!
–Speaking of commuting, I will sacrifice my safety to spare an extra 10 minutes. You know that moment in your commute when you are driving around a super sketchy part and you hit the lock button on your doors and hope that no one walking the streets heard it? Yup, that is me every afternoon on my way home. BUT I get home TEN minutes earlier going that way. Ain’t nobody got time to be safe.
–The other day a co-worker asked me to witness a document. I haven’t signed my name to anything in…months? I had to pause and focus to sign my name correctly. Wow.
–I am way more excited than any 30 year old should be about Mario Kart 8 coming out. Chris and I have been counting down for months. MONTHS. We are probably going to go to the midnight release..and have Mario Kart party at our house that weekend. Let me know if you want to join!

I don’t ever get “dangerous” to shave time off my commute BUT I will be a complete jerk on purpose by cutting into a lane or taking a different offramp. Well, the different offramp is really just crafty on my part!
!!!!! There is this Jason Aldean song out on the middle of the radio and in the middle of the song they have one siren. Scares me to death every stinkin’ time!
“Aint nobody got time to me safe” is the best line ever! In Houston, I’ll do anything to avoid traffic and get there sooner, so I feel ya on that one! haha
About getting carded though – I was carded at the Dave Matthews Band concert last Friday, but I didn’t have my ID on me. It went from “how cute, they think I’m young” to “oh hell no, I’m 31, give me that glass of wine!” LOL

I always do the subtle lock and pray no one heard it or saw the movement. Like I don’t want to make the bad people feel crappy or something. hahaha
When I was a commuter I always took the ghetto way home, screw going around that shiz I want to sit on my couch and take my bra off!
I can’t stand it when songs have sirens in them! By far the worst decision that producer ever made.
the 30s/20s ecard is SO true. i’m all: LET’S PARTY, BITCHES!! and then around 11pm, it’s all omfg what did i do? whyyyyy??? I’M TOO OLD FOR THIS SHITTTTTTTT!
as for ghetto areas/sketchy people, i legit lock the doors when i see panhandlers and don’t care if they look at me.

When Mario Kart 8 comes out.. It’s going to be a crazy weekend.. Sometimes it’s nice to be carded.. even when they think you are from the ABC board..
More so than the siren in songs/commercials.. WHAT ABOUT THE ONES THAT SOUND LIKE YOUR ENGINE BREAKING? OH MAN.. That one gets me SO SCARED!
I’m 29… but, I look like I’m 18 still… This is very problematic when I have my son with me.. I get the.. WHAT DID YOU HAVE HIM WHEN YOU WERE 10 GLARESTARE!
But, it is SO nice to be carded.. SO SO NICE.
And I’m with you. I feel like I’m still in my young 20’s until I hang out with my younger friends.. and then… I just feel SUPER old.

OMG I BUSTED out in laughter from those ECARDS! I love them always lol! I always find myself saving one or two to my desktop hahah!! And I alwayyss get carded!! I’m 26 yrs old!! It is super embarrassing when it happens, but in theory I like the idea! Isn’t it great to look young lol! And my bf gets carded too. He’s 31. So weird!! Great post Nadine!!

Sirens in songs…WHY. I have approximately three and a half heart attacks every time I drive because of this.

LOLed at the safety to save 10 minutes. I remember my dad and I used to get lost allll the time coming home from Yankee Stadium in the Bronx because he “knew a way” and there were drug dealers and car with no tires on them and my dad would just be like “act like you you belong” OK DAD. I’m a 10 year old white girl in the Bronx – I do not belong. Next time lets take the highway and avoid your “shortcuts” to get home.

A radio station here has the siren in their morning traffic music and I violently hate it. It gets me every time! You ARE a badass for offroading – I’m always too scared!
I thought the same thing about myself when I had walking pneumonia, coughing is gross and annoying. When I was younger there was this one ghetto I would also shortcut through but of course I checked to make sure it was locked because you would legit get car jacked.

Yeah–I think I feel a lot younger than I am–and then I started taking a zumba class on campus full of 18 year olds. It was then I realized I’m totally ancient haha!!! I hate the stupid siren in songs thing. That should totally be illegal.
