A Public Letter to My Mom

Today’s Topic: Write a public love letter to someone in your life. (It doesn’t have to be romantic.)

Dear Mom,

Thanks for being not only a wonderful mother, but my best friend. You always know what to say to make me smile or laugh. You have always encouraged me to be who I am and stay true to myself. You have given me all the love and inspiration in the world. You have always believed in me, and made sure that I knew.

You and I are shopping partners in crime. Which is probably a bad thing since we are always encouraging each other to buy items that are super cute and finding ways to justify the purchase. Exhibit A in my weekend recap post earlier today! One of my most favorite days every year is Black Friday because I know that, as tradition, we will be out shopping with all the crazies for 18+ hours on little to no sleep and loving every minute of it. My favorite part of that day each year isn’t all our awesome finds…but I mean come on they are freaking awesome…but the time that I get to spend with you. Laughing, reminiscing on the previous years shenanigans and already counting down the days until next years trip when we part ways that evening. Every day with you is the best day, and I can’t tell you enough how much I love you and how thankful I am that you are my mom.

Love Always,

Your mum sounds lovely and the perfect best friend. It must be lovely to have such a close relationship with your mum especially as you both love shopping. My girls and I love doing this together too! 🙂

I have a similar relationship with my mom. I love being able to call her my best friend. And to think I used to hate shopping with her as a teenager… now it’s one of my favorite things to do!

    Lovely letter, so beautifully written!
