Winter Goals and Spring Goals

Let’s take a look how I did with those winter goals and spring goals will be set!

Shoe Goals

Winter Goals

Body

1. Complete a 21 day food challenge – I think I lasted a week on my food challenge? I decided that a challenge where you cut a lot of food groups out just doesn’t work for me. I usually live by the eating 80/20 rule and that is where I need to stay. Except, I may try to up it to 85/15 and eventually 90/10. fail

2.Finish up Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred – I did complete the 30 Day Shred and wasn’t as happy with it this time around as the times before. pass

3. Come up with a new cardio plan- We bought a treadmill and I have started the C25K program.pass

Mind

1. Complete the Stephanie Plum Series – I literally finished on the first day of spring! I really enjoyed this series, you can read some of my thoughts herepass

2. Read Jillian Michael’s Master Your Metabolism – I detoured my reading goals to read Yeah, Maybe by the lovely Joey! Also, I found a new book that I want to read first so I may still read this one down the road. fail

3. Watch two new movies – The Interview half pass

Home

1. Collect items for gallery wall – I have one new item for the wall. Half pass?

2.Continue working on the dogs room/office area – I purchased a few things for my office area but the room still needs work. A big purchase of a desk will still need to take place as well. pass

3.Find a ladder shelf or other idea for living room entertainment area – We looked at a few, but none stood out that we just had to have. I don’t like to rush purchases like this because I want to love it if I have to look at it every day. While we didn’t really find what we were looking for, we did try and I wont call it a fail simply because I will not settle 🙂

Food

1.Complete 14 weeks of eliminating processed food challenge – I have been following along with it. Most of it was too simple, things that I already do to be honest. pass

2. Make three new recipes – Stephanie’s Energy Bites, Asian Zoodles, Turkey Meatball Zoodles, Sweet Potato Noodles with Sage, Mozzarella and Spinach Flank Steaks (the steak was too tough and we weren’t really thrilled with it) pass

3.Try three new restaurants – Little Italy’s Pizza, Chicken Salad Chick, Jefferson’s and I got to try Silverton Cafe, DG and Bob Syke’s BBQ at Eat Drink Birmingham.pass

Goals for this spring!!

Body

1. Finish the C25K program

2. Find a new work out for Thursdays

3.Schedule an appointment for the dermatologist

Mind

1. Read The Body Book

2.Read 5 books

3.Watch a documentary

Home

1. Continue collecting things for the gallery wall

2.Find a way to get my china cabinet to my house (it is currently sitting in my mom’s garage)

3. Purchase some plants for inside, start a garden outside

Food

1. Try 3 new recipes

2.Visit 3 new restaurants

3.Work on IIFYM plan

Do you do seasonal goals? What is on your list for this spring?

I am such a goals person and I just haven’t made any solid goals lately. I’m impressed with how much you accomplished over the winter!!

Good stuff! You did really well over the winter – pass on the shelf – you can’t rush that shit.

i think you did great overall! i loved the C2K program; it really did help me learn how to run properly and how to pace my breathing.

I need to make a list for spring – things that I really should get done. I’ll start thinking about it – you have inspired me.

Overall your winter goals went REALLY well. So proud of you!

Love this list! And yay for the 30 day shred! I’ve been actually using that workout for several years, perfect for an after work kick in the butt!

I am with you, I can’t cut out foods, it just doesn’t work or stick for me! I love the jillian michael videos- I haven’t done them in a while!

My dad tried making me one of those ladder organizers. Oh mercy.. not good.

Ugh I’ve been wanting to get a gallery wall set up and it’s always on my goal list. I think I need to do what you’re doing and have Collecting Items for awhile. I just get overwhelmed when I sit down to figure it out!

You did great on your winter goals! I have been struggling so hard with the eating thing- I’ll do great with workouts but food, ugh. Trying to find a balance between eating healthy and still enjoying my life!

Awesome job on your winter goals! Looks like a great list for spring too. Good luck!

i agree about not settling not being a fail! good luck on your spring goals. i haven’t done seasonal goals yet, maybe next year. the whole seasons thing here confuses me, like how they don’t start on the 1st of a month. so i just ignore them, haha. i want to read the body book as well, you’ll have to let me know how it is. have you seen fat sick and nearly dead? i suggest that for your documentary if not.

I did not enjoy The Interview which makes me sad because Seth and James are Freaks and Geeks alum and I want to love everything they do plus they’re total BFFs. Sigh.

I think you did great on your goals overall. I’m not a huge fan of eliminating food groups completely, either, because it’s basically unrealistic. Unless you have an allergy or illness. Then it’s fine.

If you need a good documentary recommendation, let me know. I love them!

My goal is to secretly start taking some of Mark’s shirts to the Goodwill and hope he doesn’t notice 😉 hahahahaha just kidding but not really. We have been trying to cook more at home and it has made such a difference!

I really need to get better at writing goals down and following through with them. Buying some inside plants and getting all my outside planters set up is definitely on there though and the continual eat better/work out thing. Sometimes I wish that one could go away! haha

I love these! Looks like you passed a lot of them- awesome job!!

  • Reply Kerry March 26, 2015 at 9:46 pm

You did awesome on your Winter Goals. I love to hate Jillian. I want to get new plants for my house too.

  • Reply Tracy March 26, 2015 at 9:49 pm

Even if you didn’t find what you wanted with the shelves, it should still count as a pass because you didn’t settle for something you didn’t love. You did a great job this winter – best of luck for spring!

Look at all that passing green. Overachiever. 🙂 All those new recipes. Clearly I don’t ever plan on doing another goals post, because I have commitment issues, and suck, unlike you, who rock for getting everything done. 🙂

i’ve got a ridiculous amount of goals to get through. i need to curtail my list!

  • Reply Teh Megan March 27, 2015 at 11:59 am

Dude, The Notebook was such a cop out, but I’m glad they ended the movie the way they did so they couldn’t rip off The Wedding, which is the semi-sequel to The Notebook. I loved The Wedding more than The Notebook, I also read it before I had a great disdain for Nick Sparks’s formula, so that probably helped.

love your goals and I especially love that you made goals for your mind. So often we forget to take care of ourselves mind included – I need to watch some movies as well this month. Its been too long!
