Weekend Shenanigans

Hello there mid November!!! You guys…I was looking at my calendar this morning and I realized that next week is Thanksgiving!!! Like, what?!?!?! How is that even possible?!?!?!

I hit up the Sephora VIB sale on Friday to snag the essentials that I was out of. Foundation, airbrush and UD eye primer. Oh, how I wanted to much more!!!! Buttttt Christmas presents. I have bought hardly any of those, dang it!

Sephora Haul

I went in wanting Too Faced new primer….but I wound up hating it after testing it out. After a few different ones I tried, I ended up coming home with a Lancome one. I haven’t used Lancome foundation in years but I really feel like I am going to love this. I will check back with you after I get the proper introduction!

I got to stop at Birmingham’s newest addition: Trader Joe’s!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh how I have missed this place!!!  When I lived in Atlanta, I could basically walk to my nearest Trader Joe’s. It was a several times a week stop for me and I realized on Thursday just how much I missed it! I picked up a few of my favorite things and introduced Chris to them all this weekend. He was totally on board!

Soooo basically we ate all the carbs this weekend!!!

Other than that, Saturday was spent watching football! All the games went in my favor! I watched my GA Dawgs beat up on Auburn, my Crimson Tide roll all over Mississippi State and just for fun I enjoyed Arkansas kick some LSWHO ass.

Sunday we got up early and headed to Waffle House and Target to get our grocery shopping done. We were back home before 9:30am!!

Then I spent the morning Christmas-izing house while watching Elf and Bad Santa!

The rest of Sunday was spent catching up on our shows and watching Friends.

I hope that everyone had a fabulous weekend!!! Did your team win this weekend? What did you get at the Sephora sale?

Let’s hope for a speedy last full week of work this month! Linking up with Biana.

What a fabulous weekend!!! You got a lot accomplished like important stuff: Sephora, football, Target, decorating!!! Eating…. Hee Hee! I want a Trader Joes so bad! My mom and I went to one in Chicago and filled up two big bags, oh how I’d love to have one nearby!! Your lights look so pretty! Happy Monday!

That flatbread looks amazing!!! Your tree looks so pretty! Why does Auburn suck so much!!!??

I didn’t get to my Christmas stuff this weekend like I had hoped. I was slightly hung over on Sunday and felt like I was winning just by making dinner 🙂 We have Trader Joe’s by us, but I can’t handle the crowd even though I love all their stuff!

Just so we’re clear, it wasn’t a complete UGA ass beating. 😉 Also, I had plans to go to Trader Joe’s this weekend, but it just didn’t happen. Maybe next weekend! I also loooooooooove your tree!! so pretty!!

We did not win this weekend, unfortunately. I mean… We got beat by Vandy! Come on! Thank God basketball started. 😉 can’t wait to hear what you think about the primer! I’m always looking for that holy grail product! And my mouth is watering over the food! Yum!

This sounds like the perfect weekend, and all of that food from Trader Joe’s looks fantastic! We haven’t started decorating yet, but that doesn’t mean that I’m yearning to listen to Christmas music and watch Christmas movies! It’s seriously the most wonderful time of the year!

I tried prosciutto for the first time ever this weekend. I’m generally not a fan of pork products except bacon but I’ll say it was quite delicious. I’m looking forward to eating it more often and on pizza is a great idea.

I am still missing Trader Joe’s and hoping one opens up in my neighborhood soon! I still haven’t pulled the trigger on my Sephora cart, need to do that tonight before I miss the VIB sale!!

  • Reply Jenna November 16, 2015 at 12:15 pm

That Lancome foundation is one of my staples that I keep on hand. That’s what I use when I need something that will stay put all day. Like most long-wear foundations, it can be a little bit drying, so be sure to use a good moisturizer with it. Otherwise, I absolutely love it. Great coverage.

YAY to christmasing your home! We are starting next weekend. And yes to Trader Joes! We don’t have one in our area, but I make Ryan stop on his way home from work every other week to get the essentials. The Kale and Sweet Potato pizza and the wintery blend coffee are favorites in our house.

So exciting that you have a Trader Joe’s now! I would be so sad without mine 🙂 Decorating while watching Elf sounds like a perfect morning 🙂

The flatbread is from Trader Joe’s? Looks really good. I’ve had the gnocchi before and love it. So not good for you but perfect for a weekend cheat meal. The Christmas decorations are looking good!!

  • Reply Erin LFF November 16, 2015 at 4:59 pm

I seriously don’t think I’ve ever been inside a Trader Joe’s – lol! Everyone always talks about it so one of these days I need to check it out! ; )

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I missed Trader Joe’s while living in Mexico. MISSED IT TREMENDOUSLY.
I’m glad there’s one close to you now!

Wait…Thanksgiving is seriously next week?! That honestly just blew my mind. Your Christmas decor looks awesome, and so do all those Trader Joe’s goodies!!

  • Reply Kerry November 16, 2015 at 9:50 pm

Elf is my favorite. You weren’t kidding about all the carbs!! Haha! Looks delish though.

  • Reply joey November 17, 2015 at 7:05 am

I seriously hate reading your blog posts in the morning because I always end up STARVING. I’ve never had gnocci but that looks FREAKING DELICIOUS AND NOW I NEED SOME! Yay for trader joes!

Your house looks so pretty! I’ve already watched Elf too, but have yet to do the Christmas decorations. This weekend I swapped the Halloween for my Thanksgiving stuff. But next Friday it’s Christmas Explosion Time!!! I can’t wait. I still have yet to step foot inside a Sephora so… I’ll live vicariously through you on that one.

  • Reply Amanda November 17, 2015 at 7:28 pm

I’m curious about that foundation. I’ve never used Lancome foundation PERIOD. I’m intrigued.
    Cheesy gnocchi?!?!?! *DROOL*

  • Reply Tracy November 17, 2015 at 10:07 pm

Really interested in what you think about that foundation! Even though I DO love Too Faced, that one has been on my to-try list for years!
