Weekend Shenanigans

Oh, hey there Monday. You sure did come quick!!! Time for Weekend Shenanigans!!!

Things that happened this weekend:

I cleaned the floors, vacuumed, cleaned the kitchen and dusted the whole house.

We watched Georgia lose to Tennessee.

We watched Alabama suck ass for nearly 3 quarters before finally deciding to show up to play some football and take over the Arkansas game.

I cooked Cheesy Jalapeno Pinwheels and Pastry Pizza Wraps.

Three loads of laundry were washed, folded/ironed and put away.

I caved and bought a bag of fall peanut M&M’s and proceeded to eat half of it in a matter of hours. Clearly demonstrating no self control.

We started three new TV shows…

quantico-abc

Quantico – This show is about a class of FBI trainees and there time at Quantico. The show flashes from the present to the past, as one of the students becomes a suspect in a bombing and there are flashbacks to how this came about.

Should you watch it – While this might be my least favorite of the three we started, I am really enjoying it. I like it better than Chris I think.

Limitless

Limitless – Based on the movie, this show is about a guy that takes the drug NZT and joins in with the FBI to see why his body does not have the same horrible side effects as others who have taken it. Little does the FBI know, he is working with someone to get shots and that is why it works for him.

Should you watch it – While it can be a little cheesy at times, I really like this. I would say absolutely watch it if you have seen the movie. I haven’t seen the movie and I still enjoy it, so the movie isn’t a requirement. Bradley Cooper stars in the first episode to pass the torch to the TV show, so there is that.

blindspot

Blind Spot– A girl wakes up in a bag in Time Square completely naked and covered in tattoos with no memory of who she is or what happened to her. There is a tattoo of an FBI agent’s name on her back and she is sent to him. They start following clues from her tattoos to find out who she is and what happened to her.

Should you watch it – Absolutely!!! This is by far my favorite of the three and I can’t wait for the rest of the episodes!!!

Things that didn’t happen this weekend:

The back yard didn’t get cut.

I didn’t finish the book I was planning on having done for tomorrow’s link up.

No organizing of my clothes took place.

No healthy eating was had.

No day hit even 10,000 steps on the ol’ Fitbit.

How I feel about today…

Linking up with Biana. I hope everyone has a great week!!!

Peanut M&Ms to the rescue! I heart those things — screw healthy eating on the weekends — that would be such a waste of a Saturday and sunday.

  • Reply Sophia Rodriguez October 12, 2015 at 9:20 am

I didn’t hit my steps this weekend either, boooo! But it was nice to relax.
Those M&M’s sure look good. I haven’t bought any this season yet, but I still have a long ways to go… Lol.
    Happy Monday!!

Uhm…the laundry alone makes you a rock star this weekend. Come do mine?

  • Reply Tania Griffis October 12, 2015 at 10:16 am

I have been wanting to find a new show to watch, I did like the Limitless movie and it sounds like it might have some potential?… And 10,000 steps is always a challenge, why does it seem so hard on weekends ;P

I have quantico recorded to watch but haven’t yet. Want to come clean my apartment and do my laundy? LMK. Glad you had a good and productive weekend.

I feel that exact same way.
Oh gosh – I LOVE Quantico… I cant wait to see how it all plays out.

My weekend revolved around football as well which prohibited me from organizing my closet which was on my total to do list as well!

I totally feel your pain on the M&M’s. I cant keep candy in the house anymore or I nosh on it constantly until it is gone. I am going to check out Limitless! I loved the movie! You should watch it! I wish that drug was real. I could use a dose.

I actually feel like you got a lot done this weekend – laundry is a feat!! I’m obsessed with Quantico and looking forward to the episode I have from last night on my DVD!! I have 0 self control when it comes to M&M’s! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

I’ve been thinking about all 3 of those shows. It’s just that I hate watching a show and then it gets cancelled mid-season. I prefer to wait until the season is wrapped up and binge-watch it on Hulu. Oh, how technology has changed me!
I’ve been lax on my blog-reading and I haven’t been on your blog for a while so it’s great to catch up with you. I’ll be back: 🙂

I can’t remember the last time I hit 10,000 steps over a weekend. Oh, right. Never.

Quantico reminds me of How to Get Away with Murder but at the FBI. I’m not 100% sure I’ll watch because in my mind, I’ll be comparing the two and HTGAWM is just so good. Absurd and ridiculous but so good.

  • Reply Erin LFF October 12, 2015 at 3:06 pm

Nom, peanut m&ms!!! 😉 This weekend was the only time I DID get my 10k steps in haha, but now I’m backing to struggling to get 6k. GAH! Desk jobs are lame.

  • Reply Jackie October 12, 2015 at 3:07 pm

I was bit by the fall cleaning bug too. I’m glad you found some new shows. None of the new series have pulled me in yet.

  • Reply Julia @ Grace Makes New October 12, 2015 at 4:36 pm

Yay for cleaning and M&M’s and football! That GA/TN game was crazy! The Chubb injury was horrifying, I felt awful for him!

  • Reply Ashley @ The Wandering Weekenders October 12, 2015 at 4:46 pm

We started watching Quantico and Blindspot this fall too, and so far I’m really liking both of them. I’m interested to see if they can actually keep a good story line going for both shows though.

Looks like we had similar weekends. 😉 Sometimes you just need to clean house, watch tv, and eat a shit ton of M&Ms. I haven’t bought any yet but probably will now because I freaking love them. And I’m going to need recipes for the two delicious sounding foods you mentioned above! Thanks!

  • Reply Kerry October 12, 2015 at 8:38 pm

I am liking Quantico but I need to check out Blind Spot too. This weekend I am going to be cleaning everything!!

  • Reply Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis October 12, 2015 at 9:13 pm

Ugh I’m glad Monday is over! Sounds like you got a bunch done…I do laundry on the weekend and then it takes about 3 days for me to actually fold and put it away. haha so You did good!

  • Reply Evelina October 12, 2015 at 10:36 pm

I heard Limitless is good! I haven’t seen the movie but Bradley Cooper is always a nice bonus, and I remember the main actor from Greek!

  • Reply Marie October 13, 2015 at 10:33 am

Oh my,I haven’t had peanut m&m’s in years. I totally need to get me some.

  • Reply Heather October 13, 2015 at 1:56 pm

Is the pink new on your blog or am I usually not very observant?! I too have no self control but I have been able to keep candy in the house for 10+ days without eating all of if, record. You got a lot done EVEN if you didn’t get it all done, way to go! I have a coworker that likes Blindspot so I will take both your recs and watch it. ASAP, plus I watched the first epi of Quantico and it was good enough to want to see where it goes. Sounds like a good weekend!

  • Reply Laura @ Life with Lolo October 13, 2015 at 4:00 pm

Oh man, peanut M&Ms are my weekness. I think I’m sold on Blindspot, I’ll have to get caught up!

  • Reply Katie October 14, 2015 at 5:17 am

Sounds like s very productive weekend (even if you feel like you didn’t get s lot crossed off your list) and oh yes eating half a bag of M and M’s…my pick are the Peanut Butter ones…last night I SWORE I had a brand new bag to open and I was planning all day to treat myself to 10 (or 100) and lo and behold that bag was no where to be found! CRISIS! I was so pissed. Thanks for the new show reviews.

  • Reply Teh Megan October 14, 2015 at 8:13 am

I cleaned too! Finallyyyyyy. It soo needed to be done. It was so painful to actually do it. Ugh and so much sweat. I’ve ran 3 miles and not sweated as much as I did when I was sweeping/swiffering/vacuuming.

Fall colors for M&M’s. I never heard of this but I’m intrigued.
