weekend shenanigans

Weekend Shenanigans

I had to remind myself about five times that it was Sunday yesterday. Why do the weekends go so quickly??? Honestly, we didn’t do a whole lot this weekend and it still went by faster than ever.

Friday afternoon I met up with a friend for lunch that I haven’t seen in a few months. How we let so much time pass, I am not sure. But it was much needed!!! That evening, Chris and I settled in for Better Call Saul and called it a night.

Saturday Chris had to work some, so after Zoe’s morning nap, her and I headed out to do some shopping. Girlfriend needed some pants since she is too tall for all the ones we have. We headed over to Kohls and grabbed a few pairs and scored some major deals on some clothes for next summer that I am going to put aside.

After that, we headed over to get our grocery shopping for the week out of the way and grabbed some football snacks! Can you believe our Target here had hardly any meat or dairy??? There were signs up all around the store saying their shipments were delayed because of Irma in Florida. Sooooo we had to go to Publix to complete our shopping. Crazy Irma still causing chaos.

Saturday night I made bbq wieners and spinach and artichoke dip and watched the Alabama game. I also tried to get a little reading in.

Speaking of books, Zoe is obsessed with pulling all of hers off the shelf now that she is all big girl and can stand over there and reach them all. When did she get so big??? Seriously????

Sunday morning I cut the backyard while Zoe napped, and the rest of the day looked like this…

And this….

I think that this is only the second time that Zoe has napped on me since she has become mobile. She was not having her afternoon nap alone in her crib, so we snuggled in and watched reruns of Modern Family. I didn’t hate it. Not one bit. I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend! Linking up with Biana.

Sweet girl! Can’t believe how big she is – where has the time gone? We didn’t do anything, either, and the weekend flew by! What the hell! Have a great Monday!

Both my boys did that too with pulling all the books out. She must be in that super fun cause and effect stage lol. Cute, but not fun for you to clean up haha. She’s seriously so cute.

Girlfriend has always loved her books, hasn’t she?

Our girls are growing like weeds! And lol at Zoe pulling all her books off the shelf, Serena hasn’t started doing that yet but her specialty is pulling all the board games off the book shelf which sends me into a tailspin because some of them have small pieces inside. They now need a new home 😛

She is getting so big so fast! These weekends needs to slow down too because why can’t Monday move at the speed of Saturday?! Oh how I miss those tiny snuggles. I hope your week is off to a great start! Beautifully Candid

Seriously, is there anything in the world better than baby snuggles?! Charlie Beth refuses to fall asleep on me anymore, and I miss it so much! Also, I may need to run by Khols this week and see if I can stock up on anything for Charlie Beth and baby brother for next summer.

We had a really low-key weekend too, but I kept wishing time could just slow down– the weekends always go way too quickly! Love the picture of Zoe picking out her books- so sweet!

Oh how I miss those snuggly naps! Steal then when you can. Sheffield pulls all of his books if his bookshelf too, and it drives me mad. Glad y’all had a nice low key weekend!

How in the world does the weekend just pass so quickly all the time? Hooray for good deals on baby clothes! I swear that’s all I’ve been doing lately is just trying to stock up on clothes for the girls for next summer while the getting is good. The only problem is that I don’t really have that many clothes for them right now because I just don’t know what size they’re going to end up being. And all the snuggles are always so worth it!

Cute stuff for Zoe updated wardrobe. Sounds like a perfectly relaxing weekend with some shopping in there which is always fun except when meat and dairy are not in stock.

There are constantly books all over the floor of Babycakes’ room. I can’t keep up. Snuggles look nice- mine won’t typically sleep on me either!
