Weekend Shenanigans

This weekend went by so quickly! Though, don’t they all? While I didn’t get done all that I had planned...grass I am looking at you in all your jungle glory.…it was a good weekend!

After a very long time of researching, Chris decided he wanted to get a new TV for our living room on Saturday. After Zoe’s morning nap we headed over to Best Buy and met his sister over there to look at TVs. The one he thought they had wasn’t there and he ended up going with something else. It is five inches bigger than our other TV and I can certainly tell a difference! The jury is still out on whether Chris likes it or not. He notices so many things that I don’t when watching shows.

Saturday afternoon, Chris’s friend came over to watch the Electric Daisy Carnival with Chris. The guys grilled out steaks and they were delicious!

They had also picked up some sushi from Publix that I joked around saying it was sketchy, but it was actually pretty damn good!

Sunday we got our meal planning and grocery shopping done, finished watching House of Cards, and celebrated Chris’s first father’s day. I made baked ziti for dinner.

The rest of the weekend looked like this….

In the bottom right picture, Zoe had decided she was too cool for a nap and then kept laying her head down during playtime because she couldn’t hang. We’ve all been there, right???

And just like that, it is back to reality. I through together a three bean and cucumber greek salad last night for my lunches this week. If it is good, I will share the recipe! It was a pretty easy dump and mix one, and we could all use some of that in our lives. I hope you have a great week! Linking up with Biana.

Can’t wait for the recipe for the salad! I’ve been eating salads for lunch lately and they’re perfect for this time of year. What kind of tv did you get? We bought one earlier this year and I do not love it! As we always joke – it is too smart for us! Ha! Have a great Monday!

Publix actually makes great sushi, which is surprising!

Too funny- my LO didn’t want to nap this weekend either. They just do not understand how much they need sleep 🙂

That steak looks great, but this carb-lovin’ preggo is dying for those mashed potatoes!

How is that guys can always tell the difference with TVs? I swear I never can either! It sounds like y’all had a pretty great Father’s Day weekend, and those steaks look so delicious! And yes to actually finding decent sushi at the grocery store! It might look sketch, but it’s actually pretty good!

So hungry now! lol. My husband is the same way with TVs, they all seem the same to me for the most part, but he’s always wanting to upgrade! Not having an oven for the past few weeks, I’ve never craved pasta more & your baked ziti looked sooo good! I’m not sure if it’s just the lighting, but Zoe’s hair looks so blonde. She is soo cute!

I can never tell the difference with tv’s. I don’t think I pay enough attention to it. Oh those steaks look so good.

How is he not sure about the TV? Every man just wants one bigger & bigger… I’m pretty sure Ricky just wants one that covers the ENTIRE WALL

Yay for a new TV and Chris’ first father’s day!! It sounds like it was a good one!
I love those pics of Zoe- especially the nap resistance picture!! Ha!
My bff used to get sushi from her local Kroger every Sunday and I’d tease her, but she said it was always yummy!

Definitely share that recipe if it works out. I could use a fresh lunch idea. And happy first Father’s Day to Chris!

The steak dinner looks delish and I love how cute Zoe looks during playtime rebelling against naps. Too funny! I’m sure that sweet face makes weekends so enjoyable.

I’m the worst with electronics so as long as I can watch something and it looks decent then it works for me lol. Glad he had a nice Father’s Day! Zoe is too cute putting her head down. These kids just can’t give up playtime.
