Weekend Shenanigans

I was going to say the first weekend of April is in the books, but um that was last weekend. Goodness, time flies. This weekend was full of adulting and fun. You gotta keep the balance, am I right??

Friday after work, I met up with my sister and we drove out to see my mom. I appreciate all of your well wishes and prayers for her. She was in good spirits, despite all things. I know she is in a lot of pain, but hopefully after she starts physical therapy and everything….things will get better. It was good getting to spend some time with her.

When I got home, Chris and I dropped something off to a friend and picked up some pizza at Marcos to bring home. It was delicious, as always!

Saturday we had a list of adulting things that needed to get done. Mainly getting a shelf for my office, and a few other things on the list. A trip to Bargain Hunt, Best Buy, Big Lots and Sams ensued. We also had some delicious food at Casa Fiesta! These chicken flautas will be ordered again!!

Sunday, Zoe took a three hour morning nap!!! THREE HOURS! Do you know what a mom can get done in three hours?? A LOT!!! I got the shelf built, cleaned up some of my office, and did some other stuff around the house. When Zoe woke up, she ate and then we did our meal planning and grocery shopping. I picked up BBQ for a late lunch/dinner and we got caught up on a little TV.

The rest of the weekend looked like this….

We got Zoe a Sophie the Giraffe for Easter, but after a week of constant chewing on her hands and drooling through many outfits…I decided to bust it out early. Clearly, they were instant best friends! I also suppose that Zoe might be in the process of sprouting some teeth soon. Hard to tell, I don’t really see anything.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Linking up with Biana.

This sounds like the perfect weekend, and I can’t believe all of the awesome food y’all got to eat too! I’m glad that your mom is in good spirits, and hopefully the physical therapy will get her healed up even more quickly! And hooray for long naps! It sounds like you really got a lot taken care of in a short amount of time!

Oh my gosh, Zoe is so happy with Sophie– too cute! So glad to hear your mom is in good spirits– praying her recovery goes smoothly. Flautas are probably my favorite next to tacos, and those look sooo good! And yay for an overall productive weekend!

Just claim that giraffe as April’s baby & let’s all move on 😉
3 hour nap? Girlfriend knows how to live the good life!!!

    I want a three hour nap, too…
I love reading about everyone’s productive weekends! Mine was more social and less productive, but still a good one! (Although super tiring…. Back to that tempting three hour nap…)

I’m glad you were able to visit with your mom and hopefully she will be feeling better soon. Aww, Zoe and Sophie are bffs. She looks so happy and I bet she brought her some relief. Teeth are a tricky thing. Sometime we knew when one would be coming through and others they would just wake up with a new tooth, so weird. Beautifully Candid

YUM Hawaiian is my favourite kind of pizza and that one looks delicious. Yay for a 3 hour nap! Wow!! One of my girls loved Sophie and the other one did not take to it at all…great for teething in my opinion!! Sounds like a good weekend with a mix of busy and relaxing 🙂

Those pictures of Zoe are the sweetest! 3 hour naps are great. Caleb still occasionally will nap for that long, but not often. Aw, Sophie! He had one of those too.

So glad your mom is doing well and that you and Tracey got to go and spend some time with her! I love the productivity that comes with long ass naps — if only they all could be that long! She definitely loves that Sophie! So cute!

Yay for 3 hour naps and for Sophie! Girlfriend is a favorite in our house as well with the 2 teeth that just popped up recently. All that food looks amazing, and now I’m totally craving pizza. So glad to hear your mom is doing great, and hope her pain subsides soon <3

I also ate Mexican God this weekend. I’m going to look for Laura’s next time. Zoe is so cute with her giraffe.

      * I ate Mexican FOOD, not God. Dman phone.

Ha! We had one hell of a Monday, and so we got pizza from Fox’s tonight. Some days, you just need pizza, you know?

Aww yay for Sophie the giraffe! That was the first gift that was given to us (by a friend who just couldn’t contain herself after we told her we were pregnant, haha!) really early on in this pregnancy. And way to go on getting so much done during her nap! That’s awesome!
