Friday Favorites

I am going to start easing my way back to normal with a Friday Favorites post!! I cant believe that this is the last weekend before Christmas. Like, what?!?! It doesn’t even feel like Christmas to me right now because of the whirlwind of the last few weeks for me. I am hoping that I can get some Christmas spirit in this weekend because it is my favorite holiday and I want to soak it up. We are thinking about venturing out for our first baby outing to do some shopping this weekend. I would also like to squeeze in a Christmas movie or two. What are you plans?

Favorite Moments:

–So many! Becoming a mom has been the most amazing experience. While the late night cluster feedings are rough with the lack of sleep, there is something so special about the bonding time I am getting with Zoe. She is the sweetest little girl!!

–I received some serious love in the mail the week before I delivered. Kristen sent Zoe an adorable outfit and the best burp clothes ever!! Seriously, these things are sitting all over my house and sure do come in handy.

Emily sent me some super cute little bootie socks that are literally the only ones that stay on Zoe’s tiny feet and a few other goodies for Zoe and a few things for me too!!! So sweet and thoughtful and very much appreciated.

–My sister and MIL have been amazing the last two weeks. My sister has come over several times to just let me shower or pump or nap for a few hours. She has brought food, cleaned my house, and been an amazing support system. My MIL has come up to our house every day the first week we were home and several times this week too. She has brought more bottles and clothes that actually fit. (Newborn sized items were too big!) She has been a great support these last few weeks as we adjust too and I am so thankful for both of them.

Favorite Lust: I really want to get my office area right before I start back to work. I am thinking something simple and chic would do. I love this gray washed desk, and the price isn’t too bad!

I saw a chair similar to this at TJ Maxx for less than $100. I doubt it is still there, you know…Marshall’s Law and all..but I would love to find something similar.

Favorite Funnies:

!!:

"I couldn't be fake about anything even if I tried. My facial expressions would never allow it." #true:

Linking up with Amanda. Hope you all have a great weekend!

it’s so amazing that you have a fantastic support system; that’s SO important to get through the baby stage.

and the bitchy “i need to chill” meme – that’s me half the time. i yelled at a coworker the other day because she was screwing around and we were running out of time that i stopped mid-yell and said out loud “shit, i need to chill – but we also need to get this fixed so what’s the plan?” LOL.

I’m so glad that you’re getting help and support! We wouldn’t have made it through Caleb’s newborn days without the constant help, meals drop offs, people letting us nap (mostly my mom) etc.

So many cute goodies for Zoe! And yay for her first outing! Love that desk and that chair looks so cozy!

Hurrah for an awesome support system. We all need one and I’m glad you guys have one!

    Love that desk.

I LOVE that desk! That chair looks super comfy, too.
I say things all the time that immediately afterward I’m like, “Chill, girl.” Haha. Fortunately it’s usually just K that hears the venom the real-me can dish. (And it’s not about him- it’s usually something mean about someone else and I immediately regret it, lol!)

It sounds like motherhood fits you perfectly!!

That’s so sweet that Kristen and Emily sent you some packages in the mail! And I’m glad that you’re adjusting so well to motherhood! It sounds like you’ve got the best support system, and from what I’ve heard you need all the naps you can get! I hope that you enjoy your last weekend before Christmas!

Girl clothes are just the best…
I am so obsessed with gray so that desk is calling my name.

So happy to hear you received the package and Zoe loves her bootie socks! It’s so fun shopping for girls I could have gone totally crazing with spending. Hope you were able to get out of the house this weekend for a bit

I’m so glad you have help and everything’s going well with the baby and obviously I’m super curious about how the birth experience was. How glad are you to not be pregnant anymore??? (Ryan and I started playing the “What are you looking forward to?” game. So far: sushi, sleeping on my stomach, no more heartburn!!!)

It also doesn’t feel like Christmas to me. The past few months are a whirlwind! That outfit is so so cute. Did you guys get to take baby out this weekend? Hope she’s doing well – love the pics you’ve posted of her! Socks are so hard to keep on. We found the best way is to put them over her pants. I’m glad people have come over to help you out. Showering feels so good those first few weeks. I remember my first shower after delivery at the hospital was amazing, besides being afraid to touch anything.

That chair is super cute, and I’m in love with that outfit for Zoe – LOVE! Hope you had an amazing first outing as a couple after baby <3

How sweet and thoughtful are those gifts! Burp clothes are a life saver. Sisters are the best when they help in more ways than they think. Those hot showers and just getting yourself together makes all the difference. I hope you are doing well! Enjoy this time with baby Z 🙂 Beautifully Candid
