I am probably showing my age when I use certain words, but I don’t care. I can’t see myself quitting these words, well….ever! Words these days are wack. Like on fleek? Bae? Yaaaas? and all the other ridiculousness the other generations are coming up with now. The words of the 90’s and early 2000’s were way chill, ok?
–Dude and Sweet – Sometimes together or completely separate. Either way I can’t quit them. If I am about to say something serious, I usually start with dude.
–Hells yeah and hella. As in do you want to grab a drink? Hells yeah!!!! Or that show was hella good.
–Dilly-o – As in what’s the dill-yo?
–Whatever – This could be an answer to a question, an end to a conversation. Whatever.
–Bitchin’
–Loser
–My bad
–Word – Sometimes this is used as an agreement. Statement :”Kids are wack today” Response: Word.
–Awesome
The Bomb
Damn Skippy – As in you damn skippy!
Duh!!!
Mad- As in mad skills or that burger was mad good

Hells yeah and whatever are two of my favorites that I’ll never give up, I can’t live without whatever in my vocabulary.
I say word all the time and I don’t plan to stop. Also Hellz Yeah. I say cool way too much which I am sure makes me look hella old!

LOL I use almost all of these! And I totally do the “W” hand symbol when I say “Whatever!” too! 😀
“Whatever” will never die, be still my ’90s loving heart! I still use “word” and I totally overuse “awesome,” oops!
Ahh, I love this and relate to so many of these words! I still say sweet and dude way too much but that’s okay! Our 90’s and early 2000’s words were so much cooler than the words they say now 🙂
This post cracked me up. When I lived up north everything was “wicked awesome” but the Floridian in me now has stopped with that one 😉
Hahaha. When I was a teenager I tried to work “hella” into as many conversations as I could… Also, that last photo about being #grammared. HAHAHAHA! I still use, like, 80% of these words, too! My future kids will be so embarrassed of me someday…

Sweet Jesus I hate when people say ‘hella’ or ‘wicked’. No, I’m sorry. It’s not ‘wicked cool’. However, I’m 100000% with you on ‘dude’ (I say that at least 7461697 times a day), ‘sweet’, and ‘word’. I’m also a big user of ‘yo!’.
I say Dude all the time and Awesome. Awesome is my favorite. I’m not letting them go ever!

Yup, I use all of those, except dilly-o and whatever! If I say “whatever” it means I really do not care and am in a pissy mood. I also say “on the regular” a lot. Love all the perfect gifs!

I will never quit ‘dude.’ It’s how you know I’m about to say something important, I’m all “DUDE, listen….” “Dude you won’t believe what just happened…”

I will never quit “awesome”. I also say “just peachy” and “dude” a whole lot. I don’t think I really ever even used most of the words you listed. I mean, I use slang and all but not that frequently. Slang doesn’t sound right coming out of my mouth.

Pretty sure not a day goes by without me using “dude” or “my bad.” I also say pretty much everything else on this list too!
Love all of these so much, and the fact that you used Lizzie McGuire memes throughout the post too! I don’t think that I’ll ever fully understand all of the words that people use now, but I totes love to use “totes” on a regular basis, just to annoy my husband! It’s the best because he seriously hates that word lol!

I totally use a lot of these words! My family and Brian and I use “son” a lot, like, “cool son,” or “ok son,” haha!
That brought back some fun memories! Clueless had a big impact with terminology and Michelle’s DUH! was always the cutest.
Oh my goodness! I use so many of these still as well! Dude, My Bad, and The Bomb are totally part of my normal vernacular. 😉
Bitchin’ – hahaha! There’s a guy in his late 40s that uses that and I always chuckle to myself. I use dude all the time and I asked if it was out of style – to which the answer was yes. Hooooweeeever, I heard some 20 something kids using it so I’m not feelin too old when I use that.
When I saw the title of this, the first word that popped in my mind was “duh!” 🙂 Dude is my word. You know, Aussies say “mate”…and it’s not always used the same way. But, my husband will call his son “mate” often. From the very beginning of my relationship with my stepson, I called him “dude” or “little dude”. And, I’m the only one that calls him this, so it’s become our little term of endearment.
i need to incorporate more of these into my daily vocab, hehe. i do say awesome and totally a lot. and dang!

I still say many of these words, too! I say “whatever” all the time… so much so that my niece started saying it, and my sister made her stop. I said it one day and she said, “um, you’re not allowed to say that.” So I’ve tried to cut back! 😉
This post is totally on fleek…just kidding I don’t even know if I used that correctly. I have two embarrassing phrases that I use. Sometimes I say hashtag, like I’m talking on Twitter or Instagram or something. I also say “I can’t even” that phrase is from like two years ago but I can’t stop. Oh just thought of one more “you can’t sit with us” but that one is cool and not embarrassing.
this is fabulous. we had a tv show about a kangaroo named skippy so i definitely don’t use that haha.
but i say the bomb and awesome (i say awesome way too much) and all sorts of other weird words. why the bloody hell not haha.
