Confessions

It’s Confession time! Spill it!

–It is day 31!!! Whole 30 is done! I might still be on a little bit of a high from getting on the scale and seeing that I dropped seven pounds this month. I am seriously so damn proud of myself! I have never been able to stick with anything food restrictive for this long without cheating. #selffive

–Don’t you hate when you hit publish on a post and you read through it later in the day and find an error. I rarely ever proofread my posts before I hit submit. Sometimes I get lucky, sometimes I don’t. #wtfwasithinking

–When I am reading a book, I find myself constantly pushing to do a little more. Well one more page. Well now I only have two more pages until the chapter ends, I am not an animal I am going to have to finish this chapter. Oh, but now I have to know what this character is going to do about this!! #booknerd

–I have been using a concealer brush to dig out the foundation that is caked to the sides of the bottle because I am a cheap bitch and I refuse to let any of it go to waste. I wont buy foundation in packaging where I cant scrape every last drop anymore. I mean, that shit is expensive and I want my moneys worth! Plus I have extended the use of that foundation by two weeks now of scraping so clearly it was worth it! #cheapbitch #thrifty

–When football season is over, the weekends feel off. Like something is missing. #whatdidwedobeforefootballseason

–It took me an embarrassingly long time to set up my new lap top and dual monitors at work. I haven’t really had to do anything technology related in a long time because usually Chris handles that stuff for me. #ineedanadult #its2016shouldntitdoititself

–I’m putting creamer in my coffee this morning! I literally cannot wait! #mouthgasms

–I have noticed a pattern in my magazine tastes as I’ve gotten older. I went from 17 and Teen Vogue to Cosmo and Allure to Shape and Women’s Health (which I still enjoy both of those) but now I get the most excited when Martha Stewart Living and Real a Simple Arrive. #oldladystatus

–I appreciate all of your kind words on my Whole 30 results post yesterday! You all made me feel so good!!! #support #bloggersarethebest

The confessions about setting up your laptop had me laughing because I did a whole series of snapchats today about my computer malfunctions. Congrats on your whole thirty achievements and your results! Awesome job!!!

  • Reply Jenna February 3, 2016 at 1:06 am

The Facebook ecard would be me.

  • Reply Christina February 3, 2016 at 6:52 am

I totally use the last drip of everything I buy so your foundation usage made me laugh! I’m not buying something until every little last drop is gone!

I’m the same way about using stuff to the last drop! Shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, etc. Although, Teh German took the toothpaste thing to a new level when I saw him SUCK the toothpaste out of the tube. I probably would never go that far.

I also understand the magazine thing. I went straight to Cosmo as a teen and at some point in my 20s Cosmo just became the same stupid sex “tricks” recycled and recycled.

That normal behavior ecard? My entire life.

I’m happy girl now that I’ve had my Nadine confessions fix! Yes, husband and I definitely feel like somethings missing without our college ball! I’m sure it will be here before we know it and I guess I won’t wish for it too soon because that will mean summer is about over. Being a perfectionist, there is nothing that irks me more than finding an error on a post of mine and it happens all the stinking time! I try I try! Yes all dayers are hard sometimes, I just want to be in kindergarten again and take naps and eat snacks, LOL! I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday

  • Reply Myra February 3, 2016 at 8:40 am

You go girl! Congrats on finishing up the whole 30! I love that you’re a cheap bitch, because hey, I’m the same way. If I’m spending the moolah on expensive crap, I better get to use every last drop of it, haha.

  • Reply Morgan @ Morgan Manages Mommyhood February 3, 2016 at 8:43 am

I was seriously JUST talking to my husband about the magazine thing the other day. I used to get alll the magazines with beauty/weight/sex tips all over the cover, and now I’m reading ones with headlines like, “Teach your toddler to use the potty in 3 steps!” or “Clean your home in 3 minutes flat!” I don’t even know who I am anymore.
    Congrats on the Whole30!

  • Reply laura February 3, 2016 at 8:47 am

yay whole 30 is ovaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! hallelujah. I hate hate when football is over — I mean what am I supposed to do? watch baseball? pass. Stupid election season — just brings out the dumb in everyone. ESPECIALLY on facebook.

  • Reply Biana @ Blovedboston February 3, 2016 at 8:47 am

Gary reads my posts after they are published and he’ll text me to correct things sometimes LOL! Enjoy that creamer in your coffee girl – you deserve it!! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

Woohoo congrats on losing 7 pds that is so fantastic!! My sister reads all my posts before I publish them because I’m always making mistakes. Proofreading is part of her job (at her real job) so she is really good at it. Me, I’m terrible. I’m Queen of Type O’s. You should see some of the texts I sent, it’s like wait is that even english?? haha

  • Reply Cara February 3, 2016 at 9:10 am

Oh my gosh I’m so glad to know there’s someone else out there who gets every last drop of their foundation out of the jar-hahaha I so do that, and my husband makes fun of me.

  • Reply Amy February 3, 2016 at 9:15 am

The weekends are off without football, I totally agree. How was the creamer? I am still almond coconut milk so far. Real Simple is my favorite magazine like ever!!!

  • Reply kristen February 3, 2016 at 9:17 am

lol when i got a new computer and dual monitors at work, i made KC come in and set it up haha no shame
i used to be OBSESSED with magazines, but i’m not really anymore, though when i do read them i like the same ones as you.
enjoy your creamer and other non whole 30 shit girl, you rocked it!

  • Reply Gretchen | Gretchruns February 3, 2016 at 9:32 am

YAY! Congrats on making it through the Whole30 ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m so proud of myself too, even though I didn’t lose any weight. I did tone up a lot and the bloating in my stomach is gone which is what I was hoping for.

  • Reply Helen February 3, 2016 at 9:35 am

Congratulations on completing the Whole30!!! That’s so awesome!

  • Reply Michael February 3, 2016 at 9:41 am

Girl, you deserve that creamer! ENJOY! I’m with you on the magazine choices. If you look at my stack it’s Women’s Health, Yoga Journal, SHAPE, Real Simple, and Fine Cooking. And of course, yes to book nerdom.

  • Reply kathy @ more coffee, less talky February 3, 2016 at 9:49 am

yay for whole30 being over!! i am so proud of you and your results are amazing. keep going!!!!!!

  • Reply Rebecca Jo February 3, 2016 at 9:56 am

#mouthgasm – that is the best word EVER!!!
Hope you enjoyed your creamer & it was everything you remembered it being ๐Ÿ™‚

Good for you scraping the make up out – I get so frustrated at how much gets wasted.

  • Reply Jessica @ Pleas(e) & Carrots February 3, 2016 at 10:11 am

Good idea to use the concealer brush to get the rest of the foundation out! And isn’t it funny how our interests change over time, even when it comes to magazines?

  • Reply Stephanie February 3, 2016 at 10:59 am

haha Real Simple is the best though! I love it. I totally agree about the foundation, I better be able to get every last bit out, so no glass bottles!

  • Reply Dani February 3, 2016 at 11:48 am

Teen Vogue! I don’t even think they make that anymore! I remember subscribing to 17 and YM (which they also don’t make anymore!). Now my big mail day is when Real Simple and All You come! And I’m the same way with reading physical books- I look for where the chapter ends. I think that’s why it’s easier for me to put down e-books; I don’t look for a good stop point.

  • Reply Carly February 3, 2016 at 12:09 pm

I totally catch my typos mid-day. I swear I read over my posts before publishing, I just must be blind!

  • Reply Tracy February 3, 2016 at 12:49 pm

I should definitely proofread more (read: ever). Sometimes I’ll look back and realized I had like a half a sentence I never finished writing haha! Oops.
I am SO amazed by your Whole30 progress, seriously! Seven pounds?! Girl get out of here.

  • Reply Kelli February 3, 2016 at 1:06 pm

I’m the same with my magazine reading, you should really really check out HGTV magazine it’s perfect for old ladies that love house hunting for houses we can’t afford online. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Reply Tricia Coniglio February 3, 2016 at 1:26 pm

I used to always drink my coffee black with having cream *occasionally* but lately it’s been cream all the time!
I can totally relate to #oldladystatus in more ways than just magazines!!

  • Reply Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis February 3, 2016 at 1:45 pm

You deserved some creamer in your coffee this morning after 30 days of hard work. I do the same with my beauty products and try to use every last drop before switching to a new one.

  • Reply Laura @ Life with Lolo February 3, 2016 at 2:01 pm

Heck yes for Real Simple mail day! I love that magazine and my tastes have pretty much evolved exactly the same as yours. And I also feel lost on the weekends without football. I hope that coffee creamer was amazing today! I can’t believe we are done. Woohooo!

  • Reply alyssa February 3, 2016 at 2:22 pm

Congrats on seriously kicking Whole 30’s ass! I’m with you too on scraping out every last bit of productโ€”nothing goes to waste around here! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Reply Lindsay Latimer February 3, 2016 at 3:17 pm

So how’s the coffee creamer taste?! There are few things better! I’m kind of lost without football, too, especially since our basketball team is playing like shit this year!

  • Reply SMD @ Life According to Steph February 3, 2016 at 3:30 pm

One of my main joys in life is coffee with cream. I am not interested in going without it for any reason for any length of time. LOL GREAT job on the Whole30! Way to kill it.

  • Reply Jessi February 3, 2016 at 3:57 pm

woohoo! congrats congrats! Whole 30, bow down! Proud of you and this accomplishment!

I use a Q-Tip for the final remains of my concealer AND I make it last SO long by mixing it with moisturizer. I make that $9 bottle go on and on and on for months. Beauty routine, you’re cheap!

  • Reply Jessi February 3, 2016 at 3:59 pm

Oh! Mix foundation with the cetaphil cream you got, that’s what i use and they sell in bulk at costco! yes!

  • Reply Ashley @ The Wandering Weekenders February 3, 2016 at 3:59 pm

You should totally feel so proud of yourself for not only doing Whole30, but dropping 7 pounds! That’s a huge accomplishment! And I hope that you enjoyed your coffee creamer this morning! I totally wouldn’t know how to set up my dual monitors at work! Thank goodness for my husband and IT, otherwise I’d be totally lost!

  • Reply Amanda February 3, 2016 at 9:44 pm

Congrats on the weight loss… that’s awesome and you SHOULD be proud of yourself! ๐Ÿ˜€
I dig out the last of allllll my beauty products. You can get a TON of extra uses out of foundation by getting at the sides. They actually make itty bitty spatulas just for that purpose now!

  • Reply Kay R. February 4, 2016 at 8:21 am

I really really hate hitting publish and finding an error after the fact,

PS continued congrats on the weight loss!

  • Reply Katie February 4, 2016 at 9:05 am
