Confessions

–If you say something rude to my friends/family, I am done with you. #loyalbitch

–When out in a shopping center or mall, if I am alone (or with my SIL this past weekend) and I see that a store has kicks for walking in on Shopkicks, I will go in the store and do a lap. No shame in my Shopkick gift card earning game!!! Plus, extra steps on my Fitbit. #winwin

–I have had Demi Lovato’s Confident song stuck in my  head for the last week. #getout #idonthateit

–Are there things in your house that you know you probably wont use, yet you can’t get rid of? All of our Blue Rays, CDs and DVDs come to mind here. I listen to Spotify and watch Netflix but you never know when the occasion may arise when you might need one! Even if you haven’t watched any of them in over a year. #itsnothoardingifyouadmitit

–I decided to paint my nails on Sunday. Something I rarely do these days. I couldn’t be bothered to put on a top coat so within about an hour of painting them, I had several chips and dings. I still do because I haven’t fixed it. #oops #lazy

–Since my snacks are basically limited to fruit, veggies, nuts and the occasional Lara bar, I have consumed a shit ton of pistachios in the last few weeks. I am surprised I don’t look like one. #youarewhatyoueat #nutslol

–My whole apple rolled on the floor yesterday during lunch. I was starving so I washed that shit off and ate it anyways. #buildingimmunesystem #10secondrule

–When I am out in public and random strangers ask for my advice on their fashion/product purchases, I take it as a compliment and leave smiling. I like to think it is a good thing that they trust my opinion based on what I look like since they don’t know me and I am approached all the time. #feelsgood #strangerdanger

I do the same with Shopkick! But if I’m with Michael I’ll be like, “I have to go to this store so I can get points on this app I use” hahaha.

  • Reply Christina January 27, 2016 at 6:54 am

I am so into Demi right now.. I may have her on repeat on Spotify haha. I’ve never heard of Shopkick.. I’ll need to check that out later.

I’m the same way with old movies/CD’s. Even when I haven’t watched them/listened to them in over 5 years, I can’t let go. I really don’t know why because half the movies I own come on TV all the time, to which I then DVR and watch it that way. I’m sticking with what you said though, it’s not hoarding if you admit it.-haha Have a great Wednesday!

  • Reply ellesees.net January 27, 2016 at 8:22 am

i’m the same way–have all my cds from the 90s and 00s and beyond that i can’t get rid of. i have those huge cd cases–like the ones you unzip? i haven’t played them in years but still! #oldschol

  • Reply Andrea @ Living On Cloud Nine January 27, 2016 at 8:39 am

Oh how these memes are so me!! You had me at loyalB!!! So me too!! One time I put my CD’s in a garage sale but when someone went to buy them, I said oh those are not for sale, I must’ve been mistaken and quickly took them back in the house, LOL Have a great day oh wise woman!!!

  • Reply Biana @ Blovedboston January 27, 2016 at 8:47 am

I actually only have like 2 movies that I bought but Gary on the other hand has so many that he will never part with!! Ask how many times we’ve watched something from that collection – ONCE!! haha the rice krispies meme so funny! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

I have a stack of DVDs that I know I don’t need, but I need to watch them once more before I get rid of. Is that insane? It’s even on my 101 in 1001 list to watch these 8 DVDs and then remove them. And I LOVE pistachios too, but I never buy them anymore. A few years ago there was a few-week period where ALL I ATE were pistachios, probably even more than you are now. But now I’m suddenly craving them!!

  • Reply Marie January 27, 2016 at 9:42 am

That song has been playing in my head this week. It’s such a great song. I totally have a bunch of DVD’s around my house. I can’t seem to part with them. LOL.

  • Reply Jessi January 27, 2016 at 9:50 am

Is it extremely terrible that I have Spotify but find myself streaming my favorite Portland radio station all day long at work and at home? The gym is really only where I use my paid membership and oh, sad Netflix. We dropped that months ago and haven’t missed it since!

  • Reply Amanda Elizabeth January 27, 2016 at 9:58 am

I’m not going to lie, I’ve been wanting to see that video for the song and the entire time I’m watching it (you know the whole prison setting) I’m waiting for her to bust out the choreographed dance sequence but I’ll take the ass kicking as well 😉

Mark has a rack of like 100 DVDs that I told him we are getting rid of because we can stream everything and just to prove a point the other day he busted out training day and made me watch it because I haven’t seen it and we couldn’t find it on demand 🙂

  • Reply Kelli January 27, 2016 at 9:58 am

If random strangers ask me for fashion and/or purchase advice I think they are nuts. I’m not very fashionable or very approachable. 🙂

  • Reply kathy @ more coffee, less talky January 27, 2016 at 10:22 am

I’m loyal as fuck as well. when this one director was being a bitch to my husband, i immediately put her on my hate list and i pay no mind to her, i ignore her, i do not smile at her if she smiles at me and i legit ignore her; even if she’s walking beside me.

  • Reply Amy January 27, 2016 at 10:52 am

I have a ton of cd’s and I just can’t decide what to do with them. Good Will? I seriously doubt I will ever listen to one again. Such a waste of space! I love it when stranger ask my opinion… dorky I know lol

  • Reply Jenna January 27, 2016 at 11:14 am

I have the same thing happen to me when I’m in a random store anywhere near the makeup. People stop me and ask me about makeup and skin care products even though it’s obvious I’m not an employee. The last time it happened, I was in Target with my daughter.

  • Reply Laura January 27, 2016 at 11:15 am

haha, I totes trapped you in a group text yesterday, and you’re welcome. I think that’s awesome that peeps come up to you and ask your opinion — I would totally trust you if I saw you out and about!! And I probably would have eaten that apple without even washing it, because hello, I’m hungry.

  • Reply Rebecca Jo January 27, 2016 at 11:25 am

    Then LOTS of idiots happen…

Oh yeah – apples were made to just wash off & chow down. Just imagine all the germs they get on them in a grocery store anyways.

  • Reply Carly January 27, 2016 at 11:27 am

You need me to come over, because I am so good at throwing things out. I love purging! Adam has to keep an eye on me or else I end up throwing out things he loves.

  • Reply Emelia January 27, 2016 at 11:33 am

YES YES YES to the loyal thing. I LOVE HARD and when someone crosses them…NO WAY! I am good with getting rid of most things, but yes- there’s certain items I haven’t touched in years and can’t part with!

  • Reply kristen January 27, 2016 at 12:27 pm

hahaha you know i love the first one 😉

i have a super hard time getting rid of a lot of things. have you read that magic tidying up book? i forget. it helped me get rid of a few things i was holding on to for weird reasons. i still have all our dvds and a million and one books i’ll never read, but baby steps.

you look like a super approachable / honest person so if i didn’t know you, i’d ask your opinion too.

  • Reply Stephanie January 27, 2016 at 12:54 pm

Agreed, you mess with my friends or family, I will cut you. I LOLed at your hoarding hashtag!!

  • Reply Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis January 27, 2016 at 1:54 pm

Never heard of Shopkick before. How does it work? I love pistachios…I need to buy some to snack on.

  • Reply Ashley @ The Wandering Weekenders January 27, 2016 at 2:24 pm

I’m with you on having all of those movies lying around! I still buy them all the time, but we rarely put one on and watch it. My husband really wants to get this system that you can load all of your movies onto, and then you can watch them from anywhere that has wifi. So I think that might help us to watch more of what we actually own.

  • Reply Laura @ Life with Lolo January 27, 2016 at 2:30 pm

I’m all about the 10 second rule. I would have done the same with the apple. I mean I get STARVING during whole30 so I wouldn’t let anything go to waste!

  • Reply Jessica @ Pleas(e) & Carrots January 27, 2016 at 2:52 pm

I’m the same way when it comes to people being mean to my family or friends! Brian always says that I’m super loyal. And oh my gosh that e-card about injuring yourself when you’re yawning is so me

  • Reply Kate @ Green Fashionista January 27, 2016 at 3:54 pm

LOL at being held hostage in a group text – TRUTH! And I’m definitely guilty of hoarding DVD’s that we probably don’t even need anymore due to Netflix. And yessss to being loyal for friends and family <3

Ugh, seriously with the DVDs!!!! We have sooo many. I dont think I can talk Jack into parting with them but, doing KonMari slowly and – they dont bring me joy. Nope. I want to keep them but take them out of their cases and put them in envelopes in a basket or even in a drawer. That would spare like a WHOLE corner of our living room.

Your first confession is me exactly. #loyal I almost am to the point of not painting my nails anymore. I love the look but it chips so quickly! I’ve been eating a lot of sweet potatoes lately so I’m shocked I’m not orange! Ha!! We had the same debate about DVDs when we cleaned out our closets. You just never know… Lol!

  • Reply Lindsay @ Broke & Boughie January 27, 2016 at 8:49 pm

haha we have shelves- SHELVES of DVDs. I want them gone but YOU NEVER DO KNOW!

I LOLed at turning into a pistachio. I got so into almonds on whole30!

  • Reply Jana @ Jana Says January 27, 2016 at 9:04 pm

Confession–I have trouble telling Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez apart and if you played one of their songs for me, I would not know which one it is.

I can’t get rid of my DVDs, either. ONE DAY I WILL WATCH THEM.

On my Whole30, I almost turned into an avocado. It was frightening how many I ate.

  • Reply Em January 27, 2016 at 10:13 pm

That whole Demi Lovato album is pretty awesome…I can’t lie. I’m such a book/DVD hoarder too. Get rid of them? NEVER. And really, life is too short to apply top coats. Lol

  • Reply Erin @ TexErin-in-SydneyLand January 28, 2016 at 12:01 am

I confess I have no idea what “Shopkicks” is.
I confess I didn’t have a confessions post this week because a nasty, ugly migraine got in the way of life.
I confess #nutslol is my favourite hashtag for this entire post because my sense of humor is that of a twelve year old boy (sometimes).
I confess that I am confused if my laptop and/or iphone is set up for American English or UK English. Sometimes, the auto-correct changes to American, sometimes to Aussie. Take a look up above…”favorite” was typed by me with no “u”, but my laptop changed its spelling…I typed “humor” with no “u”, but it left it alone. What’s up with that? This soooo needs to be an actual confession next week, so I can get some input from others.

  • Reply HEATHER My Little HEA January 28, 2016 at 9:24 am

The spelling of the words!! Another reason to get in on the Shopkicks bandwagon. Especially since i’ve taken up walking in the mall when the weather is bad.

  • Reply Katie January 28, 2016 at 10:42 am

Yes to saving things I’ll never use again. All of our hundreds of DVDs were packed up in boxes and put in our basement a year ago to make room for baby stuff….same with half of my books, and yet I can’t get rid of them. Pistachios are yummy, plus your fingers get a workout cracking them open, right?!

  • Reply Duckie January 31, 2016 at 11:52 pm

Great, now it’s stuck in MY head too. And DVD’s are worth saving, especially for when the internet is down!

  • Reply Michael February 2, 2016 at 9:40 pm

HELL YES TO SHOPKICKS AND STEPS!! I’m saving up for the Beats (I think I mentioned this. You’re going for the Sephora card, right?) That ecard about recorded tv is a REAL struggle!!
