It is time to spill all your secrets with Kathy and I!

–This past weekend when we were eating out, we looked over at the table next to us and this boy was just sitting there with his hands folded staring at his mom who was playing on her phone. The entire time they were there, neither said a word to each other. What is wrong with people??? Put your phone down and pay attention to your kid!!! I wanted to invite the little dude to come sit with us.  #badparent

–Someone went on a shopping spree with my debit card. Dealing with that shit is so damn annoying. The bank acts like you just forgot you spent an extra grand and they don’t seem to be in a hurry to give money back. I got so mad that I told Chris I hope that whatever they bought catches on fire and burns their house down with them in it. I might have been a little irrational when I said that. #peoplesuck #getajobandstoptakingotherpeoplesmoney

–Don’t panhandle me when I am pumping gas. I assume you are walking up to rob or carjack me. It’s a rough world and I am on the defense. #iwillninjakickyou

–You know you need to make a change when you tear your closet apart and make yourself late because you don’t like the way anything looks on. #girlproblems #meltdown

–Am I the only one who is tired of people telling me what to do with my blog? I can appreciate some useful tips or information. Or you know, something new. But these posts that tell people that they should respond to comments, write good content and  have pictures is a bit ridiculous. #noshitshirtlock #amateurhour

–I keep the AC cranked to fool myself into thinking it is indeed winter time. #elninoproblems

OMG AMEN to all the “how to blog” posts!!! I am so tired of seeing and reading them. Why can people not let others blog how they want to?! It also makes me really sad when I see parents out with their kids and on their phones the whole time. Like, hello, could you be a little bit present in your kids life?!

    Happy Wednesday, friend!

Ugh I had that happen to my debit card around this time last year. People seriously suck. My bank called me and was like “Someone just attempted to buy 7 iPhones, was this you?” The crazy part was it was from a website I literally hadn’t bought from in years. And it is so sad but I see that all the time now with people being in a restaurant and instead of talking literally being on their phone the entire time. I mean if you can’t detach yourself from technology for 30 minutes while eating, that’s pretty sad and I definitely feel sorry for that kid.

Ugh, the bank issue is terrible. That happened to us a few months back and it’s such a hassle dealing with it!
The ecards you share are so true and make me laugh!
    Happy Wednesday!!

Uuuugh I used to work at a bank and saw that it was easier/ less time consuming for people who wound up with their credit card hijacked than their debit card. Because, on top of it, it’s all or nothing- you have to keep a close eye to make sure the places that were supposed to be paid, got paid, and that you don’t overdraw and blah blah blah. Sorry you have to deal with that! That’s what we get for being Muggles!!!!

  • Reply Amy December 16, 2015 at 8:23 am

Ugh… my kids and I are pretty good with putting the technology down but there are days when I am just not in the mood to talk lol… bad Mom but I usually make up for it! I hope you get all your money back and those crooks have some seriously bad karma!!!

  • Reply Lindsay Latimer December 16, 2015 at 8:33 am

So I have my blogging basics series, but I always try to say “do whatever you want with your blog.” I really hate all the bullshit of “you need to write like this…” Etc. and to be honest I’m kind of tired of the “pay me to show you how to make money from your blog” posts. Rant over! I am so sorry that you had money stolen and I would have said the same thing! NOTHING makes me angrier than a thief.

  • Reply ellesees.net December 16, 2015 at 8:47 am

omg i’m so sorry to hear about your debit card. that’s no fun!! i hope it’s all cleared up. i’m all for good, useful advice, which i rarely, rarely see. most of it is all the same ol crap.

  • Reply Andrea @ Living On Cloud Nine December 16, 2015 at 9:00 am

Had my Chase card used two weeks ago for over $1000 but the fraud alert caught it but had to be on the phone for 20 minutes, get a new one, change it, blah, blah, blah, last year when my debit got used, had to file a police report, all that hassle! My dad always said cash, cash, cash! Oh so the bloggers advising I noticed are the ones that I find myself clicking off the page, not commenting and not following. It’s for fun and seeing new ideas and other peoples outlooks, not “make all your pictures so many megapixels” and “constantly live on social media!” No, it’s exactly like you said with the kid in the restaurant, engage, relate, be old school and Talk. I don’t need to hang on social media to engage with my fellow bloggers, just comment on who’s you like and puruse every now and then. GREAT post girly!!

Total amateur hour on the how to blog posts. I lol when they’re from people who suck at blogging.

  • Reply laura December 16, 2015 at 9:06 am

Oh the panhandling — I am so naïve that I never once thought they could be robbing me, but hello Laura!! Now I will! I love that Capri Sun meme — umm, I could really go for one right now. With some vodka in it? Adult Capri Sun’s anyone??!?!

  • Reply Marie December 16, 2015 at 9:18 am

Sorry to hear about your debit card. That is so terrible. I have had that happen to me before. I try not to use my debit card anymore as it’s just a pain to get the money back from the bank. Those ecards are hilarious! Happy Wednesday.

  • Reply Monica December 16, 2015 at 10:19 am

LOL I love those ecards! That sucks about your debit card, I hope you can get the money back. Also…yes no panhandling when pumping gas, that is good reason to get kicked!

  • Reply Jessi December 16, 2015 at 10:24 am

Ha-ha photographing well DOES mean that you can use that as your profile pic for years! I’m so guilty of that. Wishing you have a less stressful time getting your money straightened out. People do suck, and while it might not be a fire that gets them I am a firm believer in karma. < 3

  • Reply Jessica @ Pleas(e) & Carrots December 16, 2015 at 10:34 am

Bahaha I love the Alive in Wonderland ecard, that’s so me!! and I’m sorry to hear about your debit card! People really suck! My go-to insult for when someone does something bad to me is “I hope they have a really disgusting dinner tonight!!” Lol

  • Reply Katie @Running with Wine December 16, 2015 at 10:39 am

That really stinks about your debt card!! Hope you get your money back before Christmas! My closet and I are having serious issues right now, I”m about ready to get rid of half of all my clothes!

  • Reply Carly December 16, 2015 at 10:39 am

I agree with so many of these – especially the closet and blog advice. How can I have so many things in my closet and hate everything? Sometimes I just want to start from scratch. And bad blog advice – totally clickbait 99% of the time.

  • Reply Rebecca Jo December 16, 2015 at 10:50 am

I think my facebook profile pic is nearing a year old 🙂
NOOOOO… I dont want anyone walking up to me at the gas station – I will totally have my mace ready.
Sorry someone got your debit card info – that’s the WORST! I dont get people that work so hard to steal what other people work so hard to EARN!

  • Reply Erin LFF December 16, 2015 at 11:12 am

Yeah, there are so many blogs I used to read that are just boring, repetitive crap now! New information, sure- share away! But yeah, the old stuff is just like DUH, not reading this. Sucks about your debit card, been there before and it’s SUCH a pain dealing with 🙁 Hope it gets cleared up sooner rather than later. My closet needs some help too… I’m in that fun not-pregnant-looking-just-bloated-stage that is awful to dress ha!

  • Reply Laura @ Life with Lolo December 16, 2015 at 11:33 am

Oh yes, the safe place thing every time. I put something “away” and then forget where I put it! Same with my closet too, not only do I hate everything on me, I also have way too much shit. I need to purge so it isn’t a cluster every time I try and get dressed. Sorry to hear about your debit card! My coworker had her’s stolen this week too!

  • Reply kristen December 16, 2015 at 1:11 pm

oh no, that sucks about your debit card girl! KC and I don’t use debit cards at all anymore, i don’t even have one.. i used to work at a bank and it happened so often that i just got over it. we use credit cards for everything now and they are so much better than the banks at handling shit. oh are you sure you didn’t spend $5k? yes i’m effing sure! dumbasses.
lol the ‘have good content’ makes me roll my eyes. I WILL HAVE SHIT CONTENT IF I WANT THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

  • Reply Jackie Hogston December 16, 2015 at 1:28 pm

Ugh the debit card thing happened to last year and it was awful!! 🙁 I’m also tricking myself into making it feel like winter by cranking the AC up and my boyfriend keeps turning it off and telling me I’m making the electric bill so high. I don’t care, it’s Christmas!

  • Reply Jasmine@makingrestorations December 16, 2015 at 1:41 pm

I’m so sorry your debit card info was stolen. That happened to me 3 times in one month and it took forever for the bank to return my money. I don’t even use my debit card anymore, I only make purchases with my credit card. Bc the credit card companies seem better equipped for dealing with fraud and then they can’t take your actual money out of your account. And I’m not surprised about the mom-child interaction at the restaurant. This seems normal now. I especially hate when I’m watching youtube and their kid is screaming for attention in the background and they are all like hold on, I’m doing youtube.

My bank account got compromised twice for the year already. How is it so easy for them to access my money when the card is still in my wallet? Luckily my bank was very understanding and credited us back the money within a few days.

  • Reply Michael December 16, 2015 at 2:50 pm

The Muggle one…. omfg yes. ALLL my problems are muggle problems. And I hate it. I’m going to stop saying FWP from now on and just start being all #MP

  • Reply Lisa December 16, 2015 at 2:55 pm

Alice FTW. I’m trying to be smart about what I eat, especially because it’s the holidays, but I just want to eat all the things.

  • Reply Mattie December 16, 2015 at 3:28 pm

UGH. Staring at your phone when you’re with your kid is such an annoying thing to me. Also, when kids don’t have any social skills/patience because every time they go out to eat or anywhere their parents just hand them an iPad to play with.

That ecard about stabbing the Capri Sun made me lose it!!!

  • Reply alyssa December 16, 2015 at 4:00 pm

Ugh, last year on THANKSGIVING I got notified by my credit card company that someone had duped my card and went on a shopping spree. Awful. Hope you were able to get it resolved quickly!
Also, I’m at the point where I just won’t even click on posts that try to tell me what to do with my blog. It’s my personal blog, not a business. And that used to also be true for the people writing these blogs, so girl, bye. I’m here for the confessions, life experience stories, and gifs.

  • Reply Tracie December 16, 2015 at 4:25 pm

We were eating out an Saturday for breakfast and an old lady was hacking up a snotty lung, spitting it on napkins and I started gagging. Legit almost upchucked. We had to leave.

  • Reply Erin @ TexErin-in-SydneyLand December 16, 2015 at 5:12 pm

” I assume you are walking up to rob or carjack me.” = so true! It doesn’t happen here, but back in Houston, all the time…which is pretty dumb because a lot of Texans have guns and will shoot. Scary!

How to blog posts? I’ve expressed my opinion several times before. I don’t follow any rules except my own. Does that mean I’ll never make money blogging? Yep. But, I’m ok with that.

  • Reply Dani December 16, 2015 at 7:05 pm

I ahve the closet meltdown approximately once a week, which is kind of nuts since I pick out my clothes the night before. The unseasonal warmth is also really confusing me- sweater? light jacket? tank top? I don’t know what’s going on. And yes to the panhandling at a gas station- this happened to me over the weekend and I got SO scared, especially since I’m not used to pumping my own gas in the first place since I live in NJ!

So sorry your account got hacked- I hope it all worked out!

    • Reply Dani December 16, 2015 at 7:06 pm

*HAVE. Ugh, I really need to look at the spell check.

  • Reply Kerry December 16, 2015 at 8:38 pm

That stinks about your debit card. I totally ignore how to posts about blogging. Most are so repetitive.

  • Reply Ashley @ The Wandering Weekenders December 17, 2015 at 8:25 am

I’ve that sucks that somebody stole your debit card! I always say the same things about people they cut me off in traffic! People are just so terrible! And I totally understand about the clothes thing! I’ve been going through the same thing lately and it sucks!

  • Reply Amanda December 17, 2015 at 8:04 pm

“I got so mad that I told Chris I hope that whatever they bought catches on fire and burns their house down with them in it.” LMFAOOOOOO What is the matter with people? Seriously!!!!!!!!!!!! Who do you think you are, that you think you can take/steal from people like that?????
I’m with you on the blogging shit. It’s so redundant. And “interesting” content is relative anyway. I feel like you could have AMAZING content (by most standards) and still not have a huge following. I honestly think that blogging is either a “you got it or you don’t” kind of deal.

  • Reply Teh Megan December 18, 2015 at 2:48 pm

    Bahah the Muggles card, YESSSS
I didn’t realize that begging for gas money was a thing until a few months ago when we were hit up and I felt legit bad for them and their crappy car that had run out of gas and they were lost and I was so confused at their story, and that should have been my indicator.
Ugh to someone stealing your card info!
That Mom totally sucks. Online dating was definitely my introduction/training to staying off my phone while I was out. I love it now.

  • Reply Jenna December 18, 2015 at 4:12 pm

Oh, wow! My credit card number got stolen a few weeks back, too. Thankfully, Chase was ON IT. The first time I saw a $300+ charge to Walmart, I called it in. They credited me the money and put an alert on my card. Sure enough, someone attempted to purchase over $1000 worth of stuff, and Chase declined it and promptly called me to ask if that had been me. I told them no, and they closed the account and sent me a new card. I remember thinking then that I’m glad it was my credit card and not my debit card. Sorry to hear you’re going through that.
