Confessions

It’s time to drop those confessions on to the interwebz! Link up with Kathy and I and get them off your chest.

–Having our Christmas decor up makes me so ridiculously happy. Every time I walk in the living room, I just smile and stare at it all. Such a cozy feeling! #christmascheer #nevertooearlytodecorate

–Do you know what drives me bonkers? Taking a sip of hot tea or coffee when I am wearing my glasses. They fog up every time! #nerdproblems #foureyes

–I haven’t ran in over a week. I am still working out, but I caught some kind of crud a few days ago and well….breathing is a chore basically all the time. If I tried to run right now, I would probably kill over! #asthmaproblems #coldssuck

–I did a Barre 3 workout this morning and that shit is no joke. Also it made me realize how terrible my balance has gotten. #notgraceful

How I look….

–Do you ever have some ideas in your head, but you don’t know how to make them a reality? This is random and open ended but I have so many ideas floating around and I just need to write them all down and focus on them maybe one or two at a time to bring them to fruition. #focus

–Speaking of ideas, I will be unveiling a new side project soon that I am stoked about! #stoked

–Every time some major tragedy occurs, I have a hard time putting in to words what goes through my mind so more often than not I say nothing at all. Don’t take that as my lack of thought or care but more that I am in a state of shock and sadness for the victims and full of anger and rage at the senseless of such an act.

the whole thing about France is so heart breaking. and it seems that all the asshats are coming out of the woodwork and attacking random muslims in my city. this one lady got beaten in front of her kids when she was picking them up at school! what the hell is going on with the human race?!

  • Reply Lindsay Latimer November 18, 2015 at 8:28 am

I may put up our Christmas decorations this weekend. Is there anything more magical than waking up and looking at Christmas lights? I am congested, too, and did cardio this morning. I thought Jason might find me dead… I mean I could not catch my breath! Ugh! And I’m with you on tragedies. Sometimes I’m afraid I’ll say something offensive. It’s okay to not say anything , right?

  • Reply Donna November 18, 2015 at 8:43 am

Ah yes, unsupervised child at a birthday party does describe my diet more often than it should!

I’m forcing B to put up our Christmas stuff this weekend — I mean it’s totally appropriate to want it up for Thanksgiving, right?!?!?! Also, I started Jillian again yesterday and thought I was going to die. And I’m also sad for everyone for not getting to hear/read our conversations. It would make for a much happier day for everyone!! LUNCH TOMORROW.

  • Reply Rebecca Jo November 18, 2015 at 8:53 am

I usually stay silent when tragedy happens because I know its only a matter of time before fights & different opinions roll out about it all… sad…

    Always love your ecard confessions

First time linking up!! I am totally into the Christmas thing already too… trying not to obsess… but loving it! 🙂 Oh lord, that would be me in barre too… I posted something a few days ago, about what I try to do when the world is filled with so much tragedy (I agree! It’s so hard to even know what to do!) so maybe that will strike a chord with you.. ? I dunno, but it works for me! 🙂 XO -Alexandra

First time linking up, so I can’t say I do the updating post thing (yet)… Work small talk is definitely weird… I however, am one of those people who starts to feel so so alone by the end of the day. So I usually welcome it vs. excel.. XO -Alexandra

Not only does my Christmas decor make me ridiculously happy but so do these posts of yours!!! Side project, can’t wait to hear about it!! Hope you are feeling better, I hate not being able to breathe and having that heavy feeling in your chest!!! 😉 Hope your hump day is Oh so happy!!!

I’m similar to you when it comes to tragedies, it’s like I have so much to say but I don’t know how to put it into words necessarily. My main feeling about it is shock at the amount of senselessness and hatred in our world. I am glad to see that everyone seems to be coming together, but I hate that it takes a tragedy for that to happen. (if that makes sense)

  • Reply Marie November 18, 2015 at 9:53 am

Oh that is so fantastic that you got your Christmas decorations up. I’m hoping to do it this weekend or sometime next week. I usually have them up before Thanksgiving. I’m traveling for the the next few weekends, so I need to get them up before I go. Otherwise, They won’t go up at all.

I have to convince my husband to get a real tree this year. He hates the needles. But it’s not like he’s the one who cleans them up! We might get a tiny tree instead this year. BOO!

  • Reply Monica November 18, 2015 at 10:57 am

I love ecards, those are great! I hate when my glasses fog up when drinking something warm too, especially when I am driving!

  • Reply Tracie November 18, 2015 at 11:41 am

I love pilates, but haven’t tried any barre classes, I am so curious! I often have ideas that I never tell people about, then I do one and everyone is all surprised and I act like it’s just something that came out of nowhere…. even though I secretly obsessed for months/years/eons.

Barre is NO JOKE. I was sore in places I didn’t know you could be sore :O

  • Reply Kate @ Green Fashionista November 18, 2015 at 1:38 pm

Yayyyy you tried the Barre3 workout at home! How did you like it?

Kate, how do you create the clickable link to your blog? I keep trying to figure it out, lol.

  • Reply Kaitlyn November 18, 2015 at 1:56 pm

Hey, found your new blog through your old blog. Love the transition, super cute! I always have a ton of idea floating around, so I know exactly what you’re talking about. I have a notebook of all kinds of ideas. I like to write them out and never do them lol, more of a dreamer than an achiever. Just don’t have the time or money to do everything I’d like to at the moment. Ugh. Sidenote, I’m ready to decorate for Christmas already!

I totally agree with my reaction to tragedies. I tend to just reflect inwardly because really, what can I say? It’s always so shocking and heartbreaking. I just can’t really put it into words so I just let myself feel it, and don’t announce it.

  • Reply Jana @ Jana Says November 18, 2015 at 2:40 pm

Oh, that poor girl doing the bow and arrow. Sadly, that is what I look like when I try to even stand on one leg so there’s that.

I struggle, too, with putting my feelings into words after something like what happened in Paris. So I leave it to my more articulate friends to do.

  • Reply Mandie November 18, 2015 at 3:43 pm

Oh my gosh, I hate the fogged up glasses too! Ugh! My main problem is with the dishwasher – it’s not quite done drying & I planted in the face by steam & insta-fog of the glasses. Ha!

  • Reply Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis November 18, 2015 at 4:20 pm

I can’t wait to put up my decorations but waiting until after Thanksgiving because #lazy. I want to try Barre as well but I can picture that being me as well. I’m not the most coordinated or balanced person which is why I’m often afraid to wear heels.

  • Reply alyssa November 18, 2015 at 4:36 pm

I wear glasses for reading, so basically whenever I’m sitting at my computer (which is almost all day long) and they fog up from my hot drinks ALL THE TIME it’s so frustrating!
Oooh can’t wait to hear about your side project!

  • Reply Candace November 18, 2015 at 6:20 pm

I’m fighting the Christmas decorations. But. I did decorate the shop this week. I have a feeling the home decor is about to make its presence known.

I used to dance…from when I was four to being on my university dance team. But, if I walked in a dance class now, I’m pretty sure I’d trip over myself. Good for you tackling the barre class!

  • Reply jackie November 18, 2015 at 7:59 pm

Ah I haven’t put up my Christmas decorations yet. I’m thinking maybe this weekend – I need to spruce it up around here!

  • Reply Amanda November 18, 2015 at 8:05 pm

I feel you on glasses fogging up, lol… especially in the winter when you walk indoors!

  • Reply Megan November 18, 2015 at 10:55 pm

I probably need to take down my Halloween/Fall decorations… Christmas decorations can go up after next week! Barre classes are no joke! I enjoyed it but can’t ever seem to make it to any classes since they have them at such random times.

  • Reply Katie MacDonald November 19, 2015 at 8:42 am

ohh!! I can’t wait to hear about your new project!! Getting started and focusing on the new project is generally the hardest part of doing something…you can do it, just get over that first hurdle. I’m sorry you’ve been feeling so down in the dumps. It’s been really gross weather here recently and I haven’t been walking as much as I should be, it makes me feel lousy. All the chocolate doesn’t help either…

  • Reply Amy November 19, 2015 at 9:11 am

I am actually really ready to decorate for Christmas as well, which I never am. Jealous that you have some done already!! I am the same way about the tragic stuff that happens, I dwell on it mentally but have a hard time expressing how I feel to other people. I just can’t even comprehend it!

  • Reply ellesees.net November 19, 2015 at 9:13 am

I can’t wait to hear about this side project.

  • Reply kristen November 24, 2015 at 8:19 am

i am the same.. hard to put into words, so i don’t. that doesn’t mean i don’t care, and i don’t think anyone would think that of either of us. it’s not like we are making jokes about it.

that gif after your barre thing – hilarious. so barre at home, good? you recommend? tell me more.
