–I follow a mini pig on Instagram. I have already expressed my desire for Mac and Gracie to have a little piglet sibling. This insta account does not help. This pig is so damn cute!!! #gimmethepiggie

–Last Tuesday I got the Target toy catalog in the mail. This Tuesday I got the Sephora catalog with the VIB 20% off coupon!!! AHHHHH. I want all the things. Literally, all of the things. #shoppingaddict

Sephora Catalog

–I keep staring at the list of Christmas presents that I have to buy, and yet I have got nothing. #only7mondaystilchristmas

–I have full intentions of putting our Christmas stuff up this weekend. #noshameinmychristmasgame

–I might get a little joy out of hearing the fair weathered Auburn fans bitching in my office building lately. They were so obnoxious and head strong at the beginning of the season but I heard one of them say that they haven’t even been watching all the games. Some fan, huh? #notrealfans

–Is anyone else shocked at how dark it is at 5:30 pm for the first week after we fall back? I mean, it is full out pitch black when I am leaving work. I know in my mind this happens every year, but it still drives me a little batty for awhile. #whyisdaylightsavingsstillathing

Yes the pitch black so early is freaking me out too! Last night I got home at 6 and it felt SO late. I put my pajamas on immediately after I got home and was basically ready for bed.

I hate how dark it is so early in the evenings!! Luckily I get out of work pretty early so it’s still light outside, but by the time I get home, it’s dark 🙁

Your hastag #7mondaystillchristmas just gave me a small panic attack

mini pig!!! So cute!! You should ask for one for Christmas. Today you confessed about not liking day light savings and I confessed that I like it. We are on opposite pages today!

Seriously, I was so blind-sided by daylight savings this year because I really couldn’t let myself think about anything but the marathon for the last like 2 weeks or so. And then BAM real life kept happening and yesterday I was sitting outside and ALL OF A SUDDEN it was night. Yikes. Is that real, only 7 Monday’s till Christmas!? I have got to get a move on!

Ugh, I find myself ready for be sooo early now. It’s crazy! I love that little pig. I’m pretty sure Colleen Hoover has a pig and she posts pics of it, lol. I am not a fan of DST, but I’m pretty sure the Summer is actually when it’s followed and what we’re experiencing now is the “norm” so I’m actually a fan of it. #backwards I only have my mom left to shop for, sooo…I’m doing pretty good.

LOL at feeling like a bounced check – right there with ya birthday twin! And how adorable is that little piggy?! I’ve been getting the same coupons, and as excited as I am about them it reminds me how unprepared I am for the upcoming holiday season. Time needs to sloooooow it’s roll 😛

Christmas is seriously only seven Mondays away? Holy shit — ha. holy. ANYWAY, yes to grumpy cat — he always seems to know what’s up.

  • Reply Summer November 4, 2015 at 11:04 am

I try to embrace the dark evenings by starting my evening routing earlier and avoid going outside ♥♥

I haven’t bought one thing for Christmas either. In fact I haven’t had time to even think about it. The first step is putting away Halloween decorations and then I can mentally move on to Christmas aka my favorite time of the year! Hope you get some decorating taken care of this weekend.

I’m shocked at the darkness, K is shocked at the light I learned this morning. She said I’m late for school, usually I go at night but it’s not night now.

  • Reply Laura @ Life with Lolo November 4, 2015 at 11:39 am

The darkness is killing me. On Monday, the first real-life day of the time change, I got stuck behind an accident and was home an hour later than normal so it really was pitch black when I got home. I was so depressed. Plus I still had to go grocery shopping which was tough because by about 7 PM I’m ready for bed when it’s this dark. I’m hoping my internal clock finally makes this shift so I can function like normal after 5:30 still. I’m a firm believer in waiting till after Turkey Day for Christmas decorations, but I don’t blame you one bit. Because I can’t wait to get mine up!

  • Reply Dani November 4, 2015 at 12:13 pm

Ugh the early darkness is affecting my work since I sit by a window and the sun is setting while I’m still here. I really noticed it yesterday. It just makes me want to hibernate more. LOL @ the bounced check!

  • Reply Mattie November 4, 2015 at 12:18 pm

On November 1st I was like, “Hell no, Christmas, I’m not ready for you!” I went to Starbucks that day and was so happy I got a regular cup. (This is mostly because I’m so not ready to be buying Christmas presents.) But anyway last night or this morning the Christmas spirit hit me and I think I’m going to start listening to Christmas music today! 🙂

  • Reply Jana @ Jana Says November 4, 2015 at 12:43 pm

I think I’m the only person who likes that it gets dark early. Dark=reason to stay inside and avoid people. So that wins for me.

OMG, that pig. I don’t want one as a pet because from what I understand they are disgusting but so, so cute.

  • Reply Stephanie November 4, 2015 at 12:59 pm

Well I don’t know about Auburn fans but I haven’t watched a single Iowa game all season and that is why they’re undefeated. I’m the worst luck and everyone knows it so we actively avoid watching the or me being able to even see or hear any updates. We went tailgating at Northwestern for the game and STILL didn’t listen or watch a minute of it. I think that makes me a big fan haha I’m keeping my bad luck away from my Hawkeyes!
I really love winter but I loathe the first week back at work after daylight savings. Such a stupid thing that it still exists. It’s SO DARK.

  • Reply Lindsay Latimer November 4, 2015 at 12:59 pm

Oh lord that pig! What a sweet little I haven’t bought one Christmas gift. The season snuck up on me! And it’s still 80 here so… I cannot get in the Christmas spirit!

  • Reply kathy @ more coffee, less talky November 4, 2015 at 1:39 pm

i’m totally going to hate the darkness when i start work! when i’m at home, i don’t even notice but as of next week, rage.

  • Reply SMD @ Life According to Steph November 4, 2015 at 1:46 pm

I am always shocked the first week or two after DST at how dark it is. I don’t know why we have to do the time change.

  • Reply Erin LFF November 4, 2015 at 3:31 pm

LOL- I say that Grinch quote regularly!!! 😉 The darkness is NOT cool- it definitely takes me a bit to get used to, too! I was so depressed driving home from work last night because of it!!

  • Reply Duckie November 4, 2015 at 7:20 pm

That pig is too cute! I’m starting to put my Christmas shopping list together so I can at least start shopping a little early this year. I’ve already got a few things for my kids…it’s just everyone else that I have a hard time shopping for.

  • Reply Amanda November 4, 2015 at 7:42 pm

No lie, I was watching mini pig videos at work today on YouTube, lolololol

You always have the best confessions and ecards! Ok, can we talk about the Target book for a minute. Was it just me or did it look a lot nicer than in years past. Not so much the stuff in it but the book itself- paper quality, colors, layouts. It was so pretty!

  • Reply Jess November 5, 2015 at 10:56 am

I probably follow more animals than humans on instagram, at this point. Christmas? Haven’t even thought about it. Anybody want some cookies as presents? ‘Cause I think that’s what’s happening this year.

  • Reply Kerry November 6, 2015 at 6:06 am

My commute is so much longer, it’s like people forget how to drive in the dark! Stinks.

  • Reply Teh Megan November 6, 2015 at 1:56 pm

I expressed at crossfit on Wednesday night that I was sad that it was already dark by 6pm and now we were definitely going to get hit by cars when we do our runs…..
