Confessions

–The roads in our neighborhood are so bad that a small child could get lost in the pot holes. That is not an exaggeration. But what concerns me most, besides the whole value of our house thing, is that every morning when I have my drink in the car…I have to hold it a certain way so it doesn’t splash out. And every morning I curse the city and the damn liar of a mayor who told us this shit was going to be fixed. Don’t spill my drink damnit! #rage

–When I earn a gift card from Swagbucks or MyPoints…I agonize over how to spend it. It’s free money and I want to get the most bang for my buck. #indecisive #ridiculous

–I didn’t work out on Tuesday. At all. Not even a little. I felt like death and my breathing was so bad that walking across a room had me winded. In fact, I basically looked liked this all day. #exhausted

–A certain fitness badass that we all know and love asked me to be friends on MyFitnessPal yesterday. I was like…

I haven’t logged food on that thing since like February and now I am going to have to be on that shit. I will be thinking twice about any bad food I shove in my face hole knowing that she can see it too!!! This is a good thing. A very good thing. #accountability #fitbitches

–My mother is the easiest person on the planet to buy gifts for. She literally loves everything. It’s so easy in fact….that I can’t make up my mind on what to get her because I have a zillion ideas and therefore have nothing yet. #thehorror #indecisive

–Things that keep me up at night…

Ugh the potholes! Did you ever watch Scrubs? There’s an episode where one of the characters drives his scooter into a pothole and comes up thru another… If that makes sense. But it’s hilarious and I often wonder if the same thing will happen to me! If you were sick you should definitely rest and not worry about working out! And my mom is the same way- she loves everything! Makes it easy and hard at the same time. Sorry for being long winded… Happy humpday!

lol you are SO right about BKs. they do just sort of show up. crazy. i’m not surprised the pens are chained down because ppl will steal anything!

Haha the mcdonalds and burger king thing! We had a mcdonalds that was on our way out of town to my parents house when we lived in Buies Creek–it was under construction for like…6 months. I think things just happen slower in the country though. Yay for getting back on the fitness track minus the whole workout thing 😉

I’m so jealous of how easy your mom is to buy for – seriously that is just the best!!! I have an ebates check headed my way and I totally feel the same way – how do I spend it lol! Happy Wednesday! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

OMG, they DO just show up!! Yay for accountability — but you know I’ll always be here in case you need like a cheeseburger and fries with crack sauce or something. 🙂 Haha, that polar bear is like me every day.

My mom is the same way! It’s pretty easy to find her something she likes. My husband, on the other hand- is the TOUGHEST. I always just end up saying “Please, buy yourself something you really want.”

  • Reply Maddie O'brien May 6, 2015 at 9:38 am

I hate potholes oh my gosh!!And my mom is the exact opposite, spend more than $15 on her and she gets mad but she doesn’t want anything under $15!!!

  • Reply Marie May 6, 2015 at 9:55 am

Ok that is so true about McDonald’s. I have never seen them under construction, they do just appear! haha, thanks for the laugh.

HAHAHAHA on the learning and forgetting. That’s me every day. Every. Day.

And also HAHAHA that I wrote today that I’m struggling with spending my Amazon gift card and you have the same problem with Swagbucks. I’m so afraid of buying the wrong thing!

ugh that is so lame about the pot holes!! we have some bad ones around the city but thankfully not too many close to home, and they fixed the ones on the way to work – yay 🙂 hope you are feeling better and yay for new myfitnesspal friends 😉

I am such a horrible daughter, my mother hates all the gifts I get her so now I get things I know she can’t return or things that I make. Then, she feels bad for saying she hates them or asking for the receipt.

  • Reply Pamela @ A Little Glitter May 6, 2015 at 11:15 am

I get PISSED about the potholes near my house, too. I get even more mad at the jackasses tailgating me when I drive slowly through them so as not to get a flat tire. Driving is so infuriating.

  • Reply Julia @ Grace Makes New May 6, 2015 at 11:26 am

OMG I’ve never thought about that with McD’s and Burger King but it’s so true! It must be a conspiracy! 😉 UGH hate huge potholes, so annoying and horrible for your car!

  • Reply Mariah-Food, Booze, & Baggage May 6, 2015 at 11:27 am

I don’t think we go anywhere without my husband complaining about how bad the roads are in SD. They don’t smooth them out really, so they are terribly bumpy. So true on McDonalds. We had a Sonic go up near our neighborhood and that was the longest I’ve seen a fastfood place under construction.

Accountability is where it’s at! You go fit bitches.

Pottholevanyia strikes again this year. It’s a mess here.

I hope you’re feeling better! The one day when I was sick was just like that. It was a struggle to get down the stairs to let Luke out. No fun!

The bank/pen one is funny, but I totally get why they chain the pens down. People cannot be trusted with pens. As a waitress who had to buy a new pack of pens every couple weeks, I have learned this lesson pretty thoroughly.

LOL at the Facebook ecard and sexual inuendos with the Kool Aid Man. Ooooh yeah!

Hope you’re finally feeling better *hugs*

i am currently re-evaluating everything i know about life because of that McDonald’s and Burger King ecard….

  • Reply Amanda Elizabeth May 6, 2015 at 2:02 pm

Seriously it’s like one minute it’s a blank corner and then boom it’s either a new Walgreens or Burger King…..like how does that happen???

  • Reply alyssa May 6, 2015 at 2:58 pm

Hah I love the Wonder Woman one. And girl I SO hear you on the potholes! My town has been filling them in here and there but there is this one enormous crater right in the turn onto my street that’s basically unavoidable if there are any other cars on the road so I have to take that turn at like 2 MPH

  • Reply EM May 6, 2015 at 3:02 pm

Girl, I haven’t logged anything into MyFitnessPal for…like…months and months…oops. LOL. I need to get on that again!

  • Reply kathy@real talk May 6, 2015 at 3:53 pm

hahahahahahah that confession about MFP made me laugh so hard.

do not workout if you’re sick! get better and rest up; if you workout while you’re sick you will just prolong your illness. rest up, get better then kick ass when you’re 100%.

  • Reply Kerry May 7, 2015 at 6:15 am

The pot holes are ridiculous we were are too. I swear my whole under carriage is going to fall off the car.

  • Reply Stephanie May 7, 2015 at 11:36 am

Haha I always tell Tara she’s my first round pick when it comes to weekend drinking 🙂
Who added you on my fitness pal? I want to know now! I have it, but I don’t totally understand it so I don’t use it much. I should try it more.

  • Reply Laura @ Life with Lolo May 8, 2015 at 1:04 pm

You can do friends on My Fitness Pal too? I didn’t know that. I love the whole FitBit friends thing – maybe if I got some friends on MFP I’d actually log food too – I did really good for like a month, then I had the plague and I haven’t done it since. And I’m totally a fan of no working out if you are sick or injured. I’m using the three stitches I have right now as an excuse #imawuss

  • Reply Teh Megan May 11, 2015 at 2:26 pm

I just added up the dollas I’ve gotten back from the grocery apps that I use and I’m kinda pumped about it. That’s a sweet steak dinner that I can get.
I am totally the Kool Aid man of sexual innuendos. Especially at work. #sorrynotsorry #whatisprofessionalism
