It’s all about the books today!!! Linking up with Steph and Jana. While I am no where near on my reading game that I was so good at last year, I am starting to build up a little steam. I always love reading everyone’s post and adding things to my list. Each and every month there are several more books that I realize I cant live without reading at some point!
Forever, Interupted by Taylor Jenkins Reid
I really loved One True Loves and immediately added all of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s books to my TBR. This book jumped in time, starting with a tragedy, then going back in forth on the past and current situation which kept me interested. I love how TJR writes her characters. You really get to know them and start pulling for them, and this book was no different. Did I love it as much as One True Loves, no. But I am not discrediting the book, it was still a great read! I just felt like maybe I wanted a little more in the end.
Bottom Line: Give it a try!

Giving it All (book 3 in The Naked Men series) by Christi Barth
I really enjoyed the first two books in The Naked Men series, and this one was just as enjoyable. I will say, I feel like the author has a formula for these books and they seem similar in situations. However, I do like how all the books sort of continue where the other left off and all the characters are in them all. Sometimes it is great to read a series that could be stand alone, but sometimes it is nice to keep going with the story line too. You will remember that The Naked Men is a blog and podcast that group of guys does. This time we learn about Logan, and see as he meets his half sister and also reconnects with a girl from his past.
Bottom Line: This is a great series if you are into the chick lit bordering on romance type novels. You are promised a good love story at least!

When God Made You by Matthew Paul Turner
I don’t normally grab faith based books, but I saw this one for Zoe and thought it would be a great addition to her ever growing collection! What really grabbed my attention was that this book is supposed to show kids how their talents and personalities grow and develop and help them understand that they have a place in our world. I want Zoe to grow up knowing that she can be who she wants to be and will be loved regardless. I want her to grow up knowing that she can do whatever she sets her mind to. This book goes along with those goals.
I think that the illustrations and colors in the book were also wonderful. Zoe is only three months old now and may not get the meaning of the book yet…but the page sure did grab her attention!

I saw When God Made You a lot on instagram this week and it looks so cute!
I’ve yet to read a TJR book, and Jana’s post just convinced me that I MUST read her new one.
haha i do author binges as well until i come across one of their books that just doesn’t meet my standards, then i abandon them. i’m currently reading THe Last Mile (David Baldacci) and it’s relaly good…i forgot how good he is.
I binged TJR last year & After I Do was really enjoyable!! I hope you like it! There is a blogger I follow and her husband is the author of the children’s book you mentioned so I’ve seen it around a lot! It looks cute 🙂
Forever Interrupted was probably my least favourite TJR but I still really enjoy the way she does her characters, as you mentioned. Her books are really uniquely written, in my opinion.
Oooh, that kids book looks interesting. May have to grab that for the LO. I’ve recently started listening to the podcast “At Home with Sally” which is a podcast aimed for Christian moms…normally the kind of cheesy thing I’d avoid with a passion, but she talks a lot about paying attention to your children’s individual personalities and needs and strengths.
I LOVE TJ REID but sad to hear about the one book. I am currently reading an old Janet Ev. Book: Love in a Nutshell. Really sweet and a very different read from her. Have a great day!!

Is Zoe into books? Orion is still completely oblivious and I’ve been wondering when he’ll care that we’re reading (or talking!) to him. I didn’t even think about whether to start including kid books on my SUYB posts. Maybe only the notable ones, otherwise there’ll be too many.
forever interrupted is my least favourite of TJRs so far. i haven’t read after i do, though. you’ll have to let me know when you finish.

I liked After I Do – that was my first foray into TJR. I’ll probably read her others too, the only other one I’ve read is Evelyn Hugo.
I really want to read a TJR book but my library weirdly only has one of her books. And one that didn’t appeal to me so I don’t want to start there, ya know. And I fully support an author binge. Been there, done that! 😀 What God Made You looks like a fabulous kids books. I’m going to bookmark for future gifts for young kids.

Aww, bummer you didn’t like Forever, Interrupted as much as One True Loves. I’m almost scared to read anything else by TJR because I liked One True Loves so much! Haha.

I need to read a TJR book! I have one of her books from Netgalley, and I just haven’t gotten around to reading it yet, which is the case with most of my Netgalley books. And there’s nothing wrong with a little author binge! If the books are available you might as well read them!
TJR is seriously a sweet author; I really need to find time to read her books! The picture book sounds really cute – I like the message of doing what you want, etc.
Besides her soon-to-be released new book, Forever Interrupted is now the only TJR book that I haven’t read. I’ll have to read that one soon!
Zoe’s book looks adorable and of course love the message of that book- I feel more kids need to be told that today’s. ALSO- I’m adding that author to my list for when I’m done with red rising.

“When God Made You” looks like a sweet book & it’s nice to see diverse children’s book characters. I have always loved reading and writing and I know it’s because my mom shared her love of reading by reading to us and taking us to the library often when we were little. Zoe’s a lucky girl : )
I’ve never read anything by Taylor Jenkins Reid but After I Do has been on my TBR for a long time so I’m curious to hear your thoughts on it. Adding One True Loves! When God Made You sound like it has such a positive message and at least she liked the illustrations!
